    Hey all,

Somewhere along the line, I developed extremely long loading times with Battery 4. Adding an instance of it takes almost a minute and a quarter. I did recently update my Battery as well as the factory library. I installed the last 2 or 3 versions released on the sister site. I know I tried both r2r's version, as well as V.R.

I don't see it in the blocklist of my Cubase. It is battery version 4.3 and resides in the usual loc of common files/vst 3.

Cubase did warn me about Battery a few weeks back while I was away from the pc, I happened to briefly catch the message and it went away, but again it's not in my blocklist.

Anyone else experience this? Possibly know of a fix for it?

I don't use Battery nor Cubase, but the usual suspects are:
    - not completely removed previous installations
    - huge amount of presets

I know it's probably not helpful, but at least I give more visibility to the thread so others can help more.

That's very helpful! But do you think it's indexing the Battery Now library on launch perhaps? It did seem to happen in and around the time of installing the new factory content.

If it happened to me, which it can't since I don't use B4 anymore, only "BNow" lol, I would look for the indexing *.db file and delete it. It usually resides somewhere like user/appdata/native instruments/battery 4 if this chewed and spit out brain serves me somewhat still. Battery 4 had problems with this .db file before and it would take a long time to start. I remember deleting that file and that fixed it. Hope it helps! I'm not using windows a lot and I'm not fixing things much so I forget stuff like folder names. I like shorter ones like usr/local/bin now. :)

Thank you @SineWave -- I really appreciate the tip. I will try this tonight and report back. I see why you moved away from Battery... it's a bit of a headache. But it's a headache I know well ;)

Unfortunately no luck. Removed the two db files from appdata. Battery is still slow to load. Will continue to troubleshoot this.

Update for everyone. Battery seems to be pissing of Kaspersky. It isn't outright blocking it, I only just noticed now, looking at report logs. but I believe it is scanning it everytime. I guess I need to simply add it to exceptions.
