I finally found out what was going on... I was having weird glitches from nearly every kontakt library and after investigating I found out my keyboard was sending 2 midi impulse for each event because it was in "split mode"...

the legato patches now sound as they should: awesome.

ThanX Andrew and all of you for the job, it's a great post and a fabulous symphonic strings section, just need the glissando on legato long strings and it's perfect

    Thanks Andrew again...
Playing and deciding between Cinematic Strings 2 and Mural and I finally resolve endless dilema, which library to use ?
Mural + Albion series are just great for me, and I kick out all other stuff from my hdd if we speak about symphonic strings library.
Mural Cello is impressive, I just can play for hours and never stop :)

Albion is multi-purpose, but somewhat limited, e.g. no separate sections.
Sable, 14-player ens. would be a way to go, though it's the most expensive solution. By layering four V1 patches and detuning them, you can get "full section"
    Mural is 60-player ensemble.

    Hope this helps

    Everyone
I've put up major update (unofficial) for Mural on AudioZ.
I highly recommend to DL it once it's approved. It fixes attack misplacement for Celli. *yes*

Andrew my only question is how much are these companies going to pay you for your consistent phenomenal work reviewing their products and pointing out in painstaking detail their benefits and shortcomings? These devs can have a 10 star product if they simply read, it's like a roadmap to success. By the way we actually had someone from Big Fish Audio drop by recently, I wonder if any other devs would be cool enough to do so. Soon we may be so big that they'll no longer be able to ignore us. We'll leave them spellbound and AudioSexed. :break:

    @Andrew Thanks for this review!

I heard the demo you made, and it sounds really great!

What microphone settings did you use exactly? And What patch did you use to make this demo? Did you use some external reverb & EQ?

    Thanks a lot

Andrew, do you see any chance to write a review about the Spitfire Evo Grid Strings?

    Hi,
my mind is now divided into so many pieces - that's why there wasn't any review in months.
Can't make any promises, but I'll try.

That's funny the way you talk about the Lead microphone (with Outrigger) as an "indispensable combo, featuring wide and rich sound.", also that "all mics in Spitfire libs are important". And then when you say that about the same mic in CineStrings "For example the Spot is completetly unnecessary, being sonically almost the same as Close."

I think that if that library wasn't called "Spitfire Mural", you wouldn't have rated it the same.
