Well, this is my second track on this genre.
I would like to see your reviews on the production, or any advice you can give me!
Criticism, as always, is more than welcome!

I've listened to this and some other tracks of yours at your YT channel and I think most of your songs would benefit from more upfront drums.

Hey No Avenger! Thank you for taking the time to listen and leave a reply!
In what way should they be more upfront? More variety/complexity, or mixing-wise like louder or work on transients, compression etc.?

I think the drum placement is correct for the genre. As in a lot of 80s music, and Synthwave as well, drums are drenched in reverb and sit a bit further in the back in the mix than in other genres. I just released my 2nd synthwave/outrun album yesterday and spend a lot of time on balancing the snare placement and reverb. I usually produce Hiphop, which uses a different aesthetic as far as drum selection and reverb is concerned, so placing the drums NOT right in front of the listeners face but still convey the feeling of impact was a real challenge. ;)

There're several ways to do this:
    - emphazise transients
    - longer attack time for compressors
    - less reverb
    - make it louder

I get what you mean. It's true i pay more attention to the melodic elements in my tracks. I never loose sleep over a snare

I can't tell you about nothing the mix, because I don't have headphones, but I like the composition in itself, nice videoclip :hifive:
