    Well damn, talk about literally the end of an era. I never cared for Skynyrd until Street Survivors, what a freakin album. Steve Gaines was going to take that band to new heights. And then... :woot:

    Oh Ed's great, no doubt, and Gary and Alan too of course. But Steve was next level. And he sang better than Ronnie, too- not that I would have advocated booting Ronnie from the frontman position, I know he was the soul of the band. But Steve could have had a great solo career.

    Living in the south for a while when I was younger it meant no racist marks about it. I know people say it has to do with slavery
    but not when it was referring to music and a band. It was like a state flag..
    Now if you are marching down the street in white sheets with a confederate flag that is defiantly a racist statement.

    Street servitors was a good album but I liked them way before. Do you know about the first release of the album had fire on the cover which was later removed?
