Hello

I want to know if Prophet 5 is out by Arturia, as far as I can see I can only find prophet V3...yet Logic is telling me that Prophet 5 is missing...it has never done this before, as this Mac M1 was setup using the backup from my Mac mini 2012...

Any ideas?

Prophet 5 is the name of the plugin itself, so in you case you have "prophet 5 V3" which is the current version.

No idea why it's throwing an error though, don't know shit about mac

Prophet V (aka 5 in Roman numbers) is the synth that's supposed to be emulated.
Version 3 is the vst version from Arturia.

They used to have a Prophet which had both the 5 and VS in one plugin.

This is likely the issue with plugin naming convention.

In the end, blame Arturia for being confusing ;)

 

yes. you probably used in your project prophet V v2 or v1 and meanwhile you updated to v3. that's why logic can't find the synth in your project anymore. its a problem with Arturia for years. you can't load old presets anymore you cant open up old projects anymore. all is gone, when upgrading Arturia stuff and while everyone of their customers are complaining about it, they still just give a sh*t. Arturia is probably one of the most ignorant developer out there when it comes to customer service.

you need to install the old version you had before the update to make it run again. if you do it this way, in the end you will have way over 50 Arturia synths installed. but who really cares about resources and disk space...right? ;)
