I was listening to the fan from my EV-EKX-15P hooked up to my new Tonex pedal while drinking light beer and vaping 9 pound hammer for inspiration.
Since I got the Tonex I don't listen to much external music.
    Too busy having fun.
Time to go back to my new Diezel patch:thumbsup:

Here's how Mike Garson tells the story :

I had told Bowie about the avant garde thing. When I was recording the "Aladdin Sane" track for Bowie, it was just two chords, an A and a G chord, and the band was playing very simple English rock and roll. And Bowie said: 'play a solo on this.' I had just met him, so I played a blues solo, but then he said: 'No, that's not what I want.' And then I played a Latin solo. Again, Bowie said: 'No no, that's not what I want.' He then continued: 'You told me you play that avant garde music. Play that stuff!' And I said: 'Are you sure? 'Cause you might not be working anymore!'. So I did the solo that everybody knows today, in one take. And to this day, I still receive emails about it. Every day. I always tell people that Bowie is the best producer I ever met, because he lets me do my thing

The last time that I saw Miles Davis at Avery Fischer Hall at Lincoln Center he used two basses, one a lead short scale and no electric guitar. Just the two basses, drums and he only played one note at the very end of the evening but recieved a 5 minute standing ovation, LOL.

Just about my favorite piano solo and my permission to play outside the lines when I choose to do so.

Collection of French songs and chanson performed by the very first orchestra of Paul Mauriat.
No one surpassed the maestro in mastery of arrangement in the 20th century

Some Dark Ambient early morning as I drank my Irish Breakfast tea with a bit of half & half while I smoked a spliff outside. Sometimes I can't tell if I watch cars go by or they watch me sitting idle.

We willed our hearts and bones to break
    Sift us through the ashes

And one day soon the sun will fade
    A gift unto the ashes

Enshrined in smoke, our shadows wait
    Drifting through the ashes

Then souls set free amidst the gray
    Lifted through the ashes
