Hi everyone. I just recently did this job for a custumer but i'm not in a genre i'm confident enough to mix. I'd like some criticism against it, i encourage you guys to really tell all the mistakes you could spot:

Nice start with the percs and reverb.
Guitar starts too loud, aswell is the shaker thingy. Both sit better in the mix after the drums started.
Vocals sound a bit distorted, are too dry, too compressed/leveled and too loud. And even if I'm not a great fan of pitch correction, in this case...
I'd add a delay to the sax.
I'd maybe pan the gtr and sax a bit to the side (opposite of delay).
Adding more reverb at the end is basically a nice idea, but I would fade it in, not just switch it (would sound more organic).
And spread the toms a bit in pan.

    Basic mix is ok.

Thanks @No Avenger . Some of the problems i already noticed before the post (Harsh top end on the percussion, the sax not sounding organic). And of course the vocals... I tried to keep it at the highest fidelity possible, unfortunatly the vocalist didn't like his natural voice so needed to reverse engeneering at some point what lead to that distorted feeling which i also didn't liked (and yes, i limited the vox bus ). But he prefered that way (and i'm not arguing with him at this point). About the pitch correction, i was recommended by himself to not do, because he already did it on the melodyne (in a very poor way, i must say). I wasn't the producer of the arrangement, so it was a very hard task to make those drums sound at least less fatigating, because i don't feel a sense of progression on the arrangement. Everything comes at one time and it keeps going the same way until the end. Did some level automations to give a sense of dynamics between those parts, but wasnt an easy time. Anyway, i'm really grateful by all the things mentioned by you, all are relevant at some level

You got a battle for sure, maybe you could fix the snare in the transitions because it takes too much focus after it comes in, maybe, tough material but low end is not bad, the mids are not so bad- focusing on the positives
