I been using Fabfilter plug-ins for a while now and they f#in rock. I am going to purchase the mixing bundle+simplon very soon(i don't c the use of purchasing one component at a time and still have to deal with the noise). Until then I need an efficient way to block the white noise you get from ff when the plugs "call Home". I have little snitch installed but it seems to get through anyway. I blocked fabfilter.com and stats.adperium.com(i read somewhere this is all you have to block). Has anyone found an efficient way to block the plugs from "Time Bombing" permanently on Mac?

I'm using Dynamics 22-07-2010 pack(the one with Pro-Q v1.04)

@dj: Have you tried it without being connected to the web to make sure it's not the Dynamic crack that has problems?

It is the Dynamics crack I'm using. Is there another crack for Mac ? I've tried disconnecting the Internet and the plugs still "timebomb"...I can't quite understand how this is possible. I've tried everything with Little Snitch. I've taken screenshots of my computer's activity monitor before and after the timebomb to try to see what process triggers it and came up empty handed. I've also tried taking screen shots of little snitch's activity monitor before and after to try to see what application,website or process might be triggering it. Mind you I'm usually in the middle of a project when this happens so it's possible i was starring at the answer and didn't realize it...

Wassup buddy not quite sure I understand your reply? Did you mean to say there's a new version of little Snitch available on torrents. Have you been successfully using ff plugs with little snitch? I'm on version 2.2.2. When you say block everything fabfilter related what do you mean specifically? I have blocked everything and I've noticed that sometimes the plugs flash for a bit before timebombing then a blank page opens on my browser and Boom! White noise all over the place!

I've noticed that when i go into my activity monitor app and quit Itunes Helper it seems to not happen as often. I am honestly not sure if it's related but it's a step that seems to help when it happens in the middle of a project. It's weird cause sometimes i can go for months without any problems then outta the blue it "timebombs"all the time.

Anyhow great software I will purchase ASAP in the meantime if anyone has figured out better ways of coping with this please share your experiences in this thread.

 

I've got the same, frustrating as hell.
Little snitcher seems not being usefull blocking it.
I've noticed that happens when I'm tweaking parameters and playing at the same time.
It happens less when the effect is not displayed and does a background job.
