The very oldest one I still occasionally use is the Juno x2 from 2002. Jbridged of course. But I still use Hypersonic 2 a fair bit.

Well, I still use stock Atmosphere patches a lot, even though I use them via Omnisphere 2, does that count?

Steinberg WaveLab 6 (every single music I have almost went through WaveLab 6 because if I don't like something in a music not enough bass need EQ-ing, loudness correciotn etc...every single day I'm still using WaveLab 6)
Steinberg Groove Agent 2 (from 2005) the best presets & grooves so unique I ca just can't recreate those drumkits with the included MIDI grooves

No there is no special reason, unless you have a 32 bit DAW like Synapse Audio - Orion or Image Line - FL Studio 32 bit installed on your system. The advantage of an old 32 bit DAW is that you don't have to use jBridge and have a bit more overview of your plugins.
I have a 32 bit DAW for all 32 bit plugins.
If you want you can of course install the free BandLab - Cakewalk DAW 64 bit, there old 32 bit plugins are automatically bridged.
