Hey Guys. Just Got a New Computer that Came with Win 11

Turning off the microphone in Windows 11.. Issues..

I change the privacy settings on my microphone Windows 11 to off and there is no sound from my
Amp Sims. Turn the Mic Back on I get the Amp Sim Sound back on..

I'm not really concern about privacy issues but normally but all my privacy settings are turn off and didn't have thus issue with Win 10 with the Microphone..

However on my End in Win 11 there is no way around this other than letting the Mic on From Win 11 Settings to get sound from my Desktop Standalone Amp Sim.

When I Load The Standalone plugin From my PC Desktop, The Damn Microphone Pops Up on the Right Taskbar

I have Soldano SLO-100...(See Attachment- Mic In The Task Bar) ----> Soldano SLO-100

Though this happens with other Amp Sim in only Standalone position not VST in My Daw

People that have Win 11.What do you think about this? and if there is a Work around..

It seems like that privacy setting turns off all inputs. I knew MS programmers were smart, but not that smart. This is MS genius in all it's glory!

You are using an external audio card? USB? I'm asking because if you're using an internal soundcard, that might be an issue. I wonder if it turns off all inputs from all soundcards? That'd be really weird.

Yes Im using external Audio Interface USB.. Yes its weird as I had no issues with Win 10 PC

 

Assuming it does indeed disable all "microphones" (read: devices with recording ability), do you have the interface designated as the default communications device or otherwise default recording device? If so, maybe select something else as the default so that it doesn't consider it. Failing that, disable it entirely in the Recording tab of the old Sound Control Panel. This will only disable it as an input device accessible to the Windows Sound System, it doesn't prevent it from being accessed by applications that address it through the ASIO driver.

yes, win 11 pro (insider dev preview)

 

Semarus It worked... I set the Windows Sound System to default other than my Audio Interface... Turned off all the microphone App Settings That Included My Amp Sims Apps in Windows 11..Opened up My Standalone Soldano SLO-100 with No Microphone on the right Task Bar.

But got No Sound.. Oh No, But Wait.. Went into Soldano SLO-100 Audio Source it was set at Windows Audio Source. Switch to ASIO Source and Wala ..Got Sound.. Hell Yea...

WE all like our privacy but MS is getting a little Strange

There is a way to connect android phone to Windows 11 and it is so easy.

 

I don't Use MS Acct. I use a Local Acct.

So, Can I use Link to Windows with a Local Acct?
