The bass on New Europeans by Ultravox (1983)?

    I'd love to replicate that amazing sound.
    It's short and fat (my exact opposite! lol)
    Any ideas as to how I would do that?

    It sounds VERY Moogy to me. My guess would be it came from some kind of moog with lots of low cut

    The bass line of the title track as well as on Sleepwalk, New Europeans and All Stood Still was done by Cross with the Minimoog.
