Looking at various hubs for M1 MacBook. Ideally would like as little cables coming from MacBook as possible, so thinking of having a hub with HDMI out on it as well

Would this work? And what would you recommend product wise?

I’ve seen this but unsure about if it would be able to do it as I would need to run the HDMI from it, and a native instruments S61 MK2 and a Maschine MK3

Product's got some mixed reviews, mainly on longevity & HDMI. And it's almost too cheap for a Mac peripheral..
As an alternative, Anker products are widely used with Apple. Not as cheap and fancy looking though:

Caldigit thunderbolt hub/dock works, but it's expensive,

problem with most those cheap-ass hubs is, you never know if they stop working after next minor MacOS update

 

Never seen a hub stop working from an update.

Been using The 7-to-2 Hyperdrive USB-C. Been working for a solid year now with no brakes. EXTREMELY pricy—but it takes everything I dish out at it, including HDMI constantly.
