Ah yes, a missed opportunity to musically collaborate with Bowie. Iirc from some interview, at least Sakamoto regretted that it didn't happen.

David Sylvian is one of my favourite vocalists ever.
As a member of Japan as well as a number of solo albums, also with Sakamoto, and not least in the group Rain Tree Crow - quite exceptional!

 

True. But still, it'd be a big collab, considering that Sakamoto had a collab even with Iggy Pop lol.

 

I agree, specially knowing that Bowie used to work with musicians for what they were, so unlike other stars, he would have kept all the original feeling of Sakamoto.
But, like an old man said to me once, what was not will not be, so ...
