I asked the requester what was a "crotbow", so I could provide some sort of graphic, but he never responded. In the future, I intend to be a little more selective in taking wallpaper requests that are not clear. Life is far too short to waste precious time.

Appreciate it man, well, I guess it's a strange thingy with strings from what I presume. When I got a hold of Kontakt and figured it out to a degree I searched the depths of the internet for everything I could find. If I could show you what I got rid of as far as libraries it would fill a TB drive alone. Now I can't find a trace of the library, it was probably free. I missed the request for a clue what it was, hell I don't even know. It was just a library I found.

Yeah Terrell. It's as though somebody took bleach and erased every trace of "crotbow". When you type the name into a search engine, it wants to correct you by displaying "crossbow". Of course, that's wrong. I even checked all previously posted Big Cat Instruments' libraries. 'Crotbow' remains a mystery. Oh well, life goes on... But, I still want to know WTF it is anyway. Maybe, someone will provide an answer someday. Example:

I've found a number of references to BigCat Audio Crotbow or BigCat Instruments Crotbow out there, and also on the sister site.
All from 2014.
Nothing is left though, all DL links are dead, on several sites.
Both Crotbow and Glockbow are mentioned several times and are most likely imaginary instruments.

 

You're right Fishnose. Any information I've found is vague and doesn't explain exactly what kind of sound or instrument this "crotbow" represents. Plus, it's old as dirt and apparently has been relegated into the dustbin of history. *See above...
