An old track updated. Contains field recordings of a public announcement at John Lennon Airport, an exotic bird at Chester Zoo, a flock of pigeons taking off from a neighbours garden, my sister calling me boring, and my iPhone morning alarm!

and used with film clips from La Bella di Lodi which one reviewer described as "Italian films are not boring. Italian movies are very good. But, this one can easily compete for the most boring Italian film. Nothing happens in an hour and twenty minutes." :)

...Wow! Very atmospheric, spiritual composition! The idea to use "daily" - one could say "ordinary" - sounds, in other terms: sounds that we never pay enough attention to, is really interesting.

It's like you had first created an environment, a landscape, then and only then added the other tracks, who sound like buildings, houses and/or other urban elements ornamenting your boulevard... In other terms I appreciate particularly this "architectural", urban inspiration.

I also really like the guitar solo at 1:57, sounds like a vintage semi-hollow body passed through modern FX like chorus (or equivalent mod fx), and the addition of the delay is a great help to express a deep feeling of loneliness.

The addition of an acoustic, "swinging" double-bass is a brilliant idea! It feels authentic and warm, an essential element of your song.

But what make me really love your track is definitely the voices, very well made and felt, they add a lot of humanity and spontaneity to your song, theses warm melodies are in contrast with the distance (perhaps a sort of abstract, philosophical humor?) expressed by the arrangements and the "environmental" sounds, like a meditative thinker observing attentively the world, the immediate present, and from this contemplation could emerge, potentially, a sort of "wisdom"... Perhaps?

The soundtrack is one thing, the film is another. In my opinion, the two don't fit together at all.
Both push themselves into the foreground: the narcissistic woman, in which every single movement is aimed at the external effect, and the music, which doesn't fit into the background because it's a bit too loud and doesn't fit thematically. Film and music are also out of sync (Vehicle movements, braking movements, starting movements are not in harmony with the sound)..

'Fly away' would fit more with e.g. a drive by the sea. There would just be no movements to which the sound should be snchron.
Maybe there is a passage in the film that fits, but I don't have the impression that the soundtrack is suitable as background, it is just too present to be pushed into the background.

I would recommend either composing a piece for the film passage where dubbing is possible, or choosing a section (sea, mountains, etc.) that does not require it or makes it desirable.

I do like the track by itself

Hits the spot. Poignant surprises and dimensions, layers shimmering and settling deeper into some place sweet and unknown, 1.56 has a really soothing quality to it. Keep the movies rolling.

My favorite part of the film was when the boyfriend runs towards then jumps into the moving tow truck. It was very, very exciting although I wouldn't try that myself.

    Always love your work!
