Currently Soundtoys Bundle is on sale from $499 to $269.

    https://www.soundtoys.com/product/soundtoys-5/
    Some things to consider:
    - Since June 2022, iLok.com accounts are no longer required to purchase and activate Soundtoys plug-ins. With our new system, all newly purchased Soundtoys products can be activated with an Activation Code and no iLok.com account -> source https://support.soundtoys.com/article/37-who-needs-an-ilok-account

    -latest version supports VST3

Pretty good deal i think, what do you guys

So from now Soundtoys plugins will only be activated with an activation code, no iLok at all?

Interesting. I got the Little Radiator for free last year and did not use because of this ilok bullshit. Gonna download right now.

"With computer-based authorization, free up precious USB ports for audio interfaces and MIDI controllers. Studio pros can still use Soundtoys 5 with their iLok USB keys to manage all of their plug-in licenses. All Soundtoys 5 plug-ins come with two activations. Use one at the studio, and the other on your home machine or laptop."

Current Version: 5.3.9 (December 2022) - iLok Authorization
    Previous Version: 5.3.8
    (June 2022) - Already with VST3

I'd immediately buy Echoboy if it involved offline activation without iLok because it is now listed at 49 bucks instead of the insane 149 or 199...whatever. Like most developers it is not specifically mentioned if it is or not.

last year I bought the complete bundle for like 110 euro from a reputable dealer here, emailed Soundtoys and they already transitioned me to their new system. That is what I call a good deal.

They transitioned to cloud version of ilok, yes no more a hardware dongle, but the way how the plugins are raped by the ilok wrappers is still insane and resource killing. Wouldnt recommend. Also cloud version checks on every start of the plugin the license. If you are offline the license cant be checked and you cant use it. The hw dongle of course allows offline, but the sh!t dongle needs to be plugged in. No thanks.

They can try/wake me again IF they drop any usage of ilok. (i did not even get the free version - because why? it would require an ilok login. :deep_facepalm::knock:)

YES now more Dongle, but ILOK sh!t cloud licensing.

    From the free trial page:

Soundtoys uses the iLok.com platform for license management. You can create an iLok.com account for free here.

I was lured into buying the bundle last month, they had the 50% off, and yes the shit is HQ and the plugins are tip top magoo and awesome on a 4k resolution.
But if you don't install the ilok license manager, you can forget about using them. No HW dongle anymore but its not the easy "OMG no dongle and therefore easy install" thing most of you think. I can't notice any resource killing @ArticStorm, since my rig is extremely hardcore. But that's my 249000 cents...and now in retrospective, I would get the same results keeping my cash and use the old cr*cked portable version. But the portable version sucks if you are on 4K or higher resolution.

Honestly I don't think online ilok lincesing is that bad to the point of me stop using Soundtoys... to be honest the most annoying thing about Soundtoys is how they keep selling and pushing the same sales, presets ad infinitum... it's like they will never release anything new again. It's pretty much dead at this point.

Me neither. I don't care about the ilok and needing internet connection.
Sales or not, it seems to work for them, I guess mostly since it is still uncrackable. And their stuff is very good. If it ain't broke.....you know.
But tell me a good company that doesn't push sales, reoccurring or not? I am actually grateful to be able to get discounts at all. And some shit you gotta pay for, sooner or later, otherwise I would still be on win 7, cubase or old Fruityloops and Soundtoys 2015 edition with a big magnifying glass on. And I wouldn't need a supercomputer either...
Yes, you can still make good music using 20y old computers and software....and be offline....and use old plugins.....but not fun though.

they should just lower the per plugin price back to reality. They need to make them stupidly priced to corral people into the bundle, but that just makes people dislike them even more.
