Not the same but in this line, even more for people who play an instrument, things have changed indeed. Imagine on, say, YT vid:
Old (40+) person: "Hello people, I'm a guitar player"
Young person: "Hello beautiful people, I'm an artist, composer, producer and guitar player"

And while at it, what's with the "beautiful"? I wouldn't say I'm ugly but neither am beautiful.

When you can´t pee your name on the snow anymore

Remember, growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional!

I try to imagine the future: all the supercool role models of the present like influencers, youtubers, tiktokers, social media managers, etc. will be considered boomers by later generations: this is because reality in the future will be different and teenagers will be focused on something else. The wheel never stops spinning: everything considered new today will become old tomorrow.
My trick has always been to be a senior from the beginning: no one will accuse me one day of being decadent

 

Age is just a state of mind. The problem is getting your body to agree with that.

 

When you had one of the first transistor radios in Straya and people would stop you in the street with utter disbelief at how there was music coming from your top pocket. 12inch monochrome state of the art TV's in the living room ... that's another story.

 

I've always thought that probably when the elderly look at themselves in the mirror, they don't see their advanced age.
