I usually write experimental rock and play guitar, but I try my hand at other styles also to keep things "interesting." My last post was an attempt at funk, but this time around I'm trying a dub-ish tune. I play and sing everything except the acoustic guitar and the tapping guitar which is played by a friend of mine. I normally don't play synths, so I might have gone a little crazy from just not knowing what I'm doing. Does the arrangement work?

Have you released this song earlier(or other version) in any other platform?
I could swear that I have heard this before.. Really weird, if not.

Thx man. I may not do everything well, but I can say I hardly ever do them "normally."

I uploaded an older version a few years ago at the Reaper music forum. Maybe somewhere else, but I don't remember. I pulled it out recently to spruce it up a bit since I mix at least a little better than back then.

I like the song a lot! There's production things I'd do differently. The main synth sound has a gurgling that drives me nuts, like a ring modulation- is that a synth or a sample? That's the main thing I'd change. The sound is fine, but have it generated by a clean synth.

I run all my synths through an amp sim, so I bet that's it. I could try a diff amp or cab or just better settings. Thx guy.
btw, what would have done differently production-wise? I'm always open to suggestions.

@lexeed excellent vocals & vocal harmonies ,very nice production
i would not change anything on this track,
the main synth sound & all other sounds you have chosen is what gives it its own uniqueness & vibe :bow:
Mixing wise you could bring the crash fx that comes in @0:42 a couple of db down & (maybe) a dub delay on the main rimshot.
    Make more
    Dub-ish
dub & reggae tracks like this one please ,because you are good at it
    Take care SpyFx

I do believe that crash is a bit jarring, esp so soon in the song. Easy enough to take care of. Thanks for the call Spy.
I think I just got lucky with this one. I do a lot of stuff just from ignorance. That is, I just "try things," this song and style being an example. I can't stand the thought of sounding generic.
