For me it's when I relised that I've owned the pants I'm wearing longer then the person I'm talking to has been alive.

Antiques Roadshow is my one 'must watch' TV show. But I'm old enough to remember it when it was 'Going for a Song' and the furniture expert was Arthur Negus.

 

I went to university in my forties. The group that I was hanging out with were in their late teens/early twenties. Things were fine in the first year, then I made the mistake of telling the guy who I hung out with my age. He blabbed to the group and overnight I became a pariah. I have always looked younger than my age. Which brings me to my point which is you know that you are older by the way people treat you and behave around you.

This is why I love Thailand because over there my age does not matter.
