Hello everyone! I recently bought a MOTU 4pre used on eBay, and it did not come with any software. I'm wondering if someone out there has the Cuemix software that they can provide to me? I can't seem to find it anywhere! I registered my product on the website but it is not available for download.

googling "motu 4pre" yields https://motu.com/en-us/download/product/278/#575 as 2nd hit.
in the release notes for their "MOTU Audio Installer" they mention"Fixed a bug in CueMix FX that could lead to a crash or prevent the analysis tools from working." its a far fetch, but maybe this cuemix is contained in this installer?

 

Thanks for the post. I should have specified I'm on a Mac. I installed the audio drivers on my macbook pro but it does not contain the software I need

 

Indeed, Cuemix is not available as a separate download, it's installed with the Motu Audio Installer.
If it doesn't, Cuemix might not be for your device. Also, I'm reading something on Motunation that it is deprecated, maybe check for older installers on this page (might be necessary to login): https://motu.com/en-us/download/product/278/?details=true

which drivers? its a "MOTU Audio Installer" they offer. btw, its for macos 12? and the firmware updates for 10.6 - 10.14 only? its an old device, will it run on your system? im not into apple's products, for heaven's sake. im out, sorry.

 

They still sell this new on their website, so yes its an older device but they still carry it

I installed the drivers off the MOTU Website. They did not include the software. I was not given the option to install it either. I used to have an old 828 that when you installed the software cuemix came with it but apparently they do not do that anymore.

 

There are older versions of the installer on that page, maybe there's one containing Cuemix.
Attached is the Cuemix from my applications folder on Monterey, belonging to my UltraLite Mk3. (Version is 1.6 89555). But that might not work at all..

 

Thanks everyone for your help. Unfortunately I'm not too bright, cuemix FX was installed it was very small program so I didn't expect to see it but it is there. Unfortunately for me my unit works perfectly except for inputs 1 and 2. I will have to contact the seller.

 

The new MOTU software that was installed should contain Discovery and Pro Audio Control (which is http browser based).

btw, the "fixed bug in cuemix" note only applies to the Windows download on that page.
