Hi everyone,

I am in a search for a DAW which is also loadable as a VST, be it 64 or 32bit.

I found 3 so far that come both standalone and VST: Phrazor(sort of a daw), Temper and Energy XT 2.6
...FL Studio has also VST but i was not able to load it sucsessfully anywhere( FL 11)



I am not in search for the "Rewire" thing(used Creamware recently tho)

So yeah, if you have any other daw in mind please let me know, i would like to check it out.

Right now i feel a bit burned out and overwhelmed of my usuall workflow so i am mixing things up which get´s me going.

-Could you please briefly explain why or how you use this ?
It sounds very intresting.

 

My favorite combo is Cubase with reason rack plugin!

 

Interesting why you don't rely on an intermitter server/slave solution like VEP, Audiogridder, Bidule etc.

I do use Reason @grrrr , other versions more complicated like @jazzzz mentioned are too much for me right now. Maybe in the future.
What i like is just using stock effects from different daws and combining them, that is why i mix thing up @Beetlejuice .

@ArticStorm - you got it, my FL does act up so i cannot use it as a vst at all, probably due to 5 years old os and full to the brim with stuff. Tried in Ableton too, no go, so that is out, maybe i´ll try FL20..but without rewire thing ofc.


I just look for ways to inspire myself playing with more simpler daws and combining what i already know really well makes it easy and fast, like using Phrazor in Psycle which has reverbs that i like A LOT.

The FL Studio VST plugin in REAPER works flawlessly.

 

It's very handy. For example You can use Tracker in your DAW.
You can use FL Studio sequencer or synths like 3xOSC in other DAWs.
Because for example you have presets for 3xOSC.
Or for example Reason have exclusively released synths/effects and You can use them in any other DAW.
This open many possibilities.

It just sounded weird: -loading a digital audio workstation as a plugin , i n t o a digital audio workstation.
So things do progress , and/or -I´m getting old.

 

What about Bidule, as a DAW?

 

I´m starting to like Reaper more and more, it can take more Acustica plugs than any that i´ve tried and it is more responsive still. For the Mixing part tho

Yeah, Bidule is funky an i´ll try it for sure, i never ment to go Max Msp way like this but i´ve spent months doing the same thing in multiple daws like VST Host/Vst board.

So yeah @Daisy69 ,cross combinig synths/effects but i wanted to have a seq to lay audio tracks and effect them, which EnergyXT kinda does. need to fix my fl.

 

Reason works great not just "in theory" but also in practice very well in other DAWs and audio plugin hosts for live performance.

 

What are phrazor, and also temper? Could not find any information on either..
Also what do you eman by using creamware? Thought creamware was just a platform like... Sonic ccore etc???
