I was late to the party on the Pro Tools first thing, so I don't have the required files to use the cracked version. If I purchase a 1 month subscription will it give me the files needed to use the cracked version? Thanks!

No, R2R's unlocker is no longer of any value with the current licenses available on Avid.

 

Hopefully they can figure something out with the new pro tools intro license, heck half of the work is already done, intro let's you use third party plugins already

 

There's nothing stopping you from trying if the one month subscription isn't that expansive.

 

I think it's $10 for a month for Artist and $39 a month for Studio

 

But, is there a possibility to get the PT 2021.7 license somehow, and then use the r2r unlocker?

I used the R2R version for a while but too many important features missing so I bought ProTools Studio Perpetual license for $349. Basically upgraded my ProTools 9 license.

If your just doing livestream then R2R version works perfectly except there's no VCA's.

 

Thanks, but I was thinking about PT 2021.4 Ultimate version + R2R unlocker. Is there still possibility for that?

You would need a Pro Tools First license and an ilok cloud account to use the R2R pro tools, if you have a legit subscription or perpetual license for 2021.7, you can use the unlocker to use third party AAX plugins

 

Thanks Joe. The question was, is there possibility to actually buy perpetual license for 2021.7, or it is somehow withdrawn from the market. Because if I was buying PT ultimate now, I would look for that version for sure.

 

No. Also remember that the security of the latest iLok is at an extraordinary level, so it is extremely unlikely that any team will release the Big Boys (Pro Tools and UAD above all). So I advise you to pass full legit if your intention is purely professional on PT.

2021.7 is still available for download, not sure if they've patched it.
You'd still need someone to transfer their ProTools first license to you via iLok.

 

Protection iLok was not cracked at 2021.7 First R2R.
There was simply the opportunity to unlock some opportunities for other licenses.

V.R has already done this many times and in other versions, but never uploaded it, because he understood what would happen next.
So it happened! )) The release lasted in working condition for exactly one week. I then thought why Avid such brakes ))
Then they removed the license, soft (First) and closed the possibilities.

If it was not possible to hack protection, there was no need to do anything.

 

Just to make things clear... Your iLok licence decides what version of PT you get and for how long.
if you subscribe now, you get access to all PT versions on your avid account (legacy download tab), you can then choose to download 2021.7 there or use the R2R retail installer, patch the files and your good to go to access all AAX releases. Just need to pay monthly or annually (Sweetwater has better prices usually.)
You do NOT need Ultimate if you do not have an HDX card or a Carbon interface. Ultimate gives access to the Hybrid mode and other video stuff I reckon. I use Ultimate because I have an HDX card. I cannot have PT Studio, sadly ! The iLok licence decides which version of PT will launch. There is only one installer.

Another way is to score a used Perpetual Licence (Ultimate is 2600$....), there is paperwork but once it's done you can secure a Licence. So if 2021.7 is the only version you will use it's a good way. you can find some for 1000$-ish (for Ultimate).
AFAIK, Avid stopped selling Perpetual Licences. You need to look on the DUC (PT Forum), ebay, Reverb and so on. As said before, you will have access to all versions until the end of the support plan date. and that particular version will never expire.

A sub will give you HEAT, their plugins, their instruments... Perpetual does not. You need to buy licences or pay for a 1 year update plan. SO.....Basically a Sub yeah Avid are the WORST but I love Pro Tools so much, cannot find a replacement so you need to make decisions.
I have Perpertual and R2R gives me everything I need, so it's a "small price to pay".

R2R did a great thing and 2021.7 is really a solid release (some bugs but overall really good). If they can/will release a new one I will upgrade my perpetual just for that, but who knows when where how... maybe never !

If I were you, i'd pay 1 month to see if it even works on your system and calculate your budget.

Yes Jeff, I always forget that this release R2R 2021.7 makes it possible to use cracked AAX plugins (because I don't have these problems). ))

In the case of purchasing Perpetual, you can buy Reinstatement plan, already having something cheaper for this, for example PT HD10 (If there is nothing).
