    Hey there, first time poster!

Here's the deal: back when I had my old laptop with Win 7, Guitar Pro 6 (more precisely 6.15 r11553) ran perfectly.

Now, I have a new laptop, with Win 8.1, and whenever I launch GP, either by the app itself or by a tab, it takes A TON OF TIME to launch - something like 1 minute.

This is extremely frustrating, as one can lose his creative flow during the time it takes to load the program...

I already tried running it in Win 7 compatibility mode, but no luck.

Any guesses on what might be going wrong?

    Cheers!

My biggest suggestion would be stop using GP6 and go with GP5 again... xD
Couldn't stand 6. I loved how it was more musician(non just guitarist) friendly.
But they took away sooo much.

It ruined too many of my projects and I couldn't go with it.
Be awesome if someone revamped GP5s skin though.. xD

No dice, already created an exception for it. As soon as it starts, the only process that appears is "Guitar Pro 6 (32 bit)", taking about 40% of the CPU as it loads.

I guess I have to live with waiting 1 minute before using it haha
