Just setup a brand new laptop Win7

I have an old midi keyboard wich has always been working on WinXP ..... Doesnt works on Win7!!!!

Propper driver installed, and the driver is visible in Kontakt5 but doesnt work even after I´ve added it in Kontakt!

I´ve looked for workarounds on the net, but havent found anything that really help me out!

Does any soul out here have any experience/solution???

    Thanks in advance

im guessing by a long shot is the keyboard connected to a usb 3.0 port??? or in the BIOS do you have it set to have usb legacy on??

I had this issue with my old Korg K61
Can you also test with a different usb cord!!
if all else fails uninstall the driver from the device manager window and use the standard driver it try's to install and see if that works

I had a similar problem when I hooked my Oxygen to win 8. I had to uninstall and reinstall as adim and set it to 7 compatibility. I installed and it worked

There is a workaround, use a proper audio card with MIDI I/O then you won't need any M-Audio MIDI drivers and the MIDI timing will be much better.

I recently bought myself a M-Audio Keystation 61es, It worked completely hassle free. Plugged in, and it just worked.

Im using it in Reaper, on Windows 8 64bit.

I read alot of driver issues to do with Windows 8 actually, not windows 7.
People keep saying it WILL work regardless, all you need to do is make sure nothing is installed (drivers for the keyboard/software designed for it) then plug it in.

But from my experience took no effort, plugged in. Set it up in reaper. Works like a charm.

    One thing I can think..
Which DAW are you using? Maybe you havnt set it as a Midi input? Or something simple like that has maybe been overlooked.

But Id suggest uninstalling drivers for it, and just plug it in.
I believe they have dedicated drivers on there website. But youv probably been down this route.

    Goodluck with it anyway!
