    Dear friends,

I got this issue is maybe 40% of downloads from Audioz. I use a mac with El Capitan OS.

I unrar the file, in some files it goes perfect, in the bad ones shows this:

Even it shows another .rar file, I I try to uncompress it, nothing happens and the other files, I got any idea about.

I also can´t open the .nfo file, I guess instructions might be there but...

    This is what I get

    astr-spfsmplrwthntopl.r00
    astr-spfsmplrwthntopl.r01
    astr-spfsmplrwthntopl.r02
    astr-spfsmplrwthntopl.rar
    astr-spfsmplrwthntopl.sfv
    AUDIOSTRiKE.nfo

    thank you I am desperate

    Use Keka.
Just open the .rar file with Keka. It will extract the whole archive with all links parts.

.nfo file can be easily opened with TextEdit that comes with every mac.

Hi, wow it worked, but not straight.

I got first to unrar, then to select all resulting files with that Keka and it gets.

    Thanks mate.

I should have not deleted yesterday 30 gigas of 2 years of downloads in my histerical attack!

    I hate computers...

    Keka or BetterZip,
it's one of Apple's biggest failures they still haven't been able to support split and huge archives extraction natively in MacOS

Ok, I could be wrong as I mainly use BetterZip which unrars all parts when I only click on the .rar file. Perhaps Keka doesn't work that way.

I use MacPaw's The Unarchiver (same guys that make CleanMyMac X) on Mojave and it's never had a problem with large and/or multi-part .rar files. For .zip and other miscellaneous compressed files, I'll either use the Unarchiver or Incredible Bee's Archiver (mainly good for compressing files!), but The Unarchiver is definitely the best I've come across. I believe both apps are free, too.

I don't think it has native Apple Silicon support, so it's a no-go in 2023

The OP claimed to be using El Capitan, so Apple Silicon support is a moot point here. Also, there's plenty of others out there still using Intel Macs (I should've probably mentioned I'm on Mojave myself!).

    Now I got other problem.

Once I uncompress, I got .bin files.
How can I open them in my old mac?

I downloaded the classic Vince Clark Lucky Bastard sample cd and is in that format once unrar it.

    thanks!

use AnyToISO. I use it on a computers from El Capitan to Monterey. Although, sometimes it'll crash on me... I'll reopen and it works. The latest version works all the way back to 10.7

You should try bchunk in terminal. it performs as nicely as dd. ok, that is a stretch but you get the idea. it is very fast and never errors if the .bin .cue files are valid.

sometimes audio .bin files are actually DDP images, you'd need some HOFA or Sonoris for that,
if it's basic CD image, then burning softwares like Toast might be able to open it
