Just make sure you are recording in stereo! as i recorded a few & they came out in mono! But sorted now! you can't go wrong with a phono preamp! just make sure your rec levels are up to your taste! You can touch them up after with eq or what ever vst you want!

Mate, that's a lot of useful infos you've skipped. :winker:

So you're using the exact same setup only with a different audio software, is that correct? If yes, you should already know how to check the in and out level of the interface. Then you need to check which input/soundcard is selected in Audacity and how to activate record. And how is the state of affairs?

Aka -10dB :winker: and that's safe. You can even raise it up to -1TP if you know what that means.

Look a bit further down, there should be a Recording pull down menue and there your Focusrite should appear.

Soesn't matter between MME or WASAPI you are not trying to catch and mix in real time your input source should be the the FR24 the protocol is not relevant in this case.

Just use a decent buffer, keep you levels cool and give yourself good lead in and out whuch you can cut later.

Don't forget to check for W/F and AS if you really care, but don't overdo it, defeats the purpose IMO.

Anyways, because you used a DJ mixer with a phono input, my & others info about RIAA & phono EQ curves can be disregarded.
(meaning: the DJ mixer takes care of this). But indeed, if you had shared that info before, it would be easier for all of us.

Ok, this is strange. TBH, then I'm a bit clueless too.

Does the Focusrite have a mute button which is not affecting the meter, IOW, can you also hear the input?

Check that inputs selected for recording are the same inputs that your mixer outputs are connected to.

Since you can hear the mixer output on the audio interface's zero latency monitoring loop in your headphones then something is going in. You just have to figure out how to tell audacity where that signal is.

It's hard to guess how you have things plugged in, or how you have the recorder setup.

Some pictures or screenshots might help sort things out.

Seems you have the output from the AI as in the in as well as the output, or some sort of mix input, not familiar with that interface but try to select the correct channels if you can. switch the WASAPI if you MME will not give you a multichannel list.

look at where your mixer outputs are plugged into the audio interface and see if there are corresponding channels in the audacity record panel. something like [Inputs1+2 Stereo] or whatever pair you have chosen.

Do the led meters on the front show any activity.

Are you using the TRS inputs on the back (3+4)?
