Just tried Tonex and it's pretty good. Haven't used it enough to say it's as good / better than my Kemper or Helix. Is it normal behaviour that the captures don't include their own cab and use the cabs of Tonex itself?

I felt in love with the "Hook R40" captures, from clean to drive, that work pretty well with my Vigier.

But it depends on your guitar too, especially with clean sounds.

 

is there a way to update the library and keep the favorite tone models bookmarked?

What I do is go to the Tonex website where the presets are, once I'm there I click on recently added and choose the most liked option. Then I open Tonex and search for the amps with the most votes and use the star to select them as favourites within Tonex. I use those favourites as a start in my search for good tones. My next problem is working out how to use CSV file option that some people have been using to filter out amps that they do not want.

 

The Dumble captures are great amps to start with, I also recommend Morgan, both of these are FANTASTIC...then again it really depends on your pickups, these amps really shine on P90's or vintage low output Humbuckers imo

 

Thanks for tip all! I find Dream 65 Clean to suite my needs, just crank up the reverb to 60/80% and drop a Roland tape delay with your favo settings via track in DAW or trough Amplitude. Backbeat chop´s heaven

 

I mostly use Tokai Strat Springy from 1980 with Fender noisless v1 pups.

 

Some of the captures are quite low and some of them also quite high volume. Is there anything to fix that?

I updated my library at the end of december and it was 4990 then and now 6100. Crazy.
