for the random usernames they have "hacked" here, they probably were able (or would have to ) to dump the users table. Many of the times, they are old accounts but with very few posts. No-one specifically targets user "JohnDoe7263" randomly with a dictionary list attack. So my guess is that it is some kind of spyware that auto-spams those links. final answer.
