    British guitarist Jeff Beck has died at the age of 78. According to his family, the musician had meningitis and passed away "peacefully" on Tuesday. What a loss.

    Hard to process. I suppose it had to happen but it seems surreal...

    This album was a game changer for me; one of the best recorded, played, layered blues rock and roll ever. RIP legend

    very sad news, he deserved his success but was really underrated by the masses if compared to other guitarists of his generation

    Yeah, I'm a bit down about this, he was my fav guitarist, I watch Live at Ronnie Scott's every year since I was a kid (thanks dad). Anyways, there isn't a single bad thing to be said about him, he only brought joy to the lives of those who were lucky enough to be around him. He shaped a whole generation of guitarists and will always be remembered, like Jimi and SRV are to this day.

    Yes, especially when you see the other dudes at yardbirds, for example. He's for sure more talented and capable of a consistent sounding record and playing rather than Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page.

    When I was a kid I won a Jeff Beck Discography (vinyl back then) from a radio station contest. Became a forever fan, especially Blow By Blow.

    Oh cool. When I was a teen, I also won some records from WNBC-66 FM since I was the 6th caller. There was no Jeff Beck in the viny collection, though. Instead, I'd won-

    Oh man, sad news. RIP.

    On the other hand, try to look at it from a positive angle : he lived long enough to leave a massive body of work behind him. If one should decide to listen to nothing but Jeff Beck, there's enough material for at least a year, with all the bootlegs and whatnot.

    Who's next? Brian May? David Gilmour? Steve Hackett?
    ...Keith Richards??? :wow::wow::wow:
