well he could do an experiment to find out if it has loss or not (although I think it does) or how much loss it has. Download a file in wav format and then record it by capturing it from your card. Then put both files in the daw and invert the phase of one. If you hear nothing, in theory, there is no loss, if there is a difference in volume, then there is loss so you should consider what you want.

I can't answer to the -start/stop when silent- requested feature (I would do in post).

However, as far as I remember, the best sw for game screen capture was Fraps, and for your (any complex) audio routing I would probably succeed with Odeus ASIO Link Pro, it works with any audio protocol (ASIO, WDM, WASAPI, etc.), and it can save audio in FLAC.
A bit hard to configure at first glance but the most powerful router I know and doesn't need virtual cables (16 input/output already included).

Edit: I forgot to tell that an ASIO driver (even ASIO4ALL is good) is required and all other protocols are routed through that.
