hi , i use a SSL UC1 controller , i had always used the Bus Compressor and the Channel Strip 2 from the Sister site until now . but there are some updates from SSL and i would like to use the legit versions of these plugins .

I have a few other plugins from SSL but they are from the sister site.
Can I use the Legit ones anyway, or could there be problems because of the I Lok security?

If releases from the sister site are from R2R - yes, they will work together. No problems at all. You are safe

I downloaded SSL Comp 2 native and i'm simply in love. It just replaced any other VCA comp i was using (i used the townhouse for almost a year). But this thing is a beast, with oversampling i'm in heaven

 

But be aware that R2R stated that legit and cracked ilok licenses have to be on different drives, if I remember well.

 

Then im already fu**ed...i will immediately Check this tomorrow.

This doesn't apply to SSL plugins... legit ones are iLok protected and R2R succefully removed iLok protection in their releases. There are no different drives needed to store licenses (like Plugin Alliance) - Just uninstall older R2R SLL plugins and install new legit ones. Register your legit plugins on iLok and that's it ;)

 

If I'm not mistaken R2R talked about Plugin Alliance license system in those terms. Because actually on PA you can't register both R2R and legit products in the same device id, because one disables the other. But as far as iLoks are concerned, R2R "rebuilt" the product completely, so it shouldn't interfere in any way with the iLok license manager. I regularly mix iLok R2R and legit iLok. But tell me if I'm wrong, I also ask for the opinion of other users.

A USB Stick is all you would need if you do need to 2 different licenses (legit and r2r)
