Yea I'll never be apart of it.. I'll go back to buying hardware before I shell out a monthly fee.. there are months my family is just getting by .. other months we do great.. I could just see my wife's face as every month I get a statement for plugins .. ya I'd be divorced lol

 

I went DAWless last year and I"m not looking back. Still use Digital Performer to master and edit, but all my music is done on the Digitakt now.

 

monthly subscriptions for gear youll never own? no fn way. as with buffet style all you can eat for dirt cheap streaming that killed artists income while enriching talentless tech ceo blood sucking thieves, all can gfys.

 

Although I did break down and buy Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor Class A for $5.99, I've gone back to buying hardware.

People paying subscription bundles while we have Airwindows, TDR, Analog Obsession, Variety of Sound... If your not buying FabFilter (wich is one of the few paid softwares that are really going to save you tons of time), keep your money, because you don't really need that cool (and hungry *CPU cries on bytes*) channel strip. If some software needs subscription or iLok dongle, warez it without regrets. They just don't deserve your money. Pay for people that are really into bringing new stuff in the box. Pretty (and vintage looking) UI's need to stop, AA's need to stop, this weird fetish needs to stop. We have cool stock plugins nowdays, despite the freebies. Imagine mixing a record with a lot of shitty outboard gear, in consoles that only have gain and, if youre lucky, some shitty eq. and those records banged.

what i dont like about this, its the constant pressure to EVERY DAY make something, because, your subs may be lower... but each day your wallet bleeds. instead buying a licence, your wallet get stabbed one time, u can recover with patchs and aids :D
