This is not what is as "clear" in nfo files, as you seem to feel. It says they do not appreciate it when other people make money from their releases. This is not the same as "do not use and maybe make some money from a little song" or how else can the little guy finally buy the software they have "Tried before Buy". There are shady people who literally sell warez on eBay; and there are entire websites that make money from warez when they are not even scene. They just copy content and put bad things in the software. Why would they appreciate that? That is not respect; it is being taken advantage of.

quick question guys, R2R included their Root certificate in one of their new releases with an automatic install script, anyone knows which one?

 

I've got to say I'm a bit underwhelmed at the Christmas & New Year 'presents' we got this year (compared to the Big Wave' of last year).
I'm sorry to be ungrateful but I was looking to R2R (and V.R, etc) to put a bit of joy back in a very unhappy world this Christmas/New Year

 

If you think about the plugin alliance mega bundle, that's like over 180 plugins right there. I still don't understand why so many people are saying they are underwhelmed. I really think you'd reconsider if you knew how much work that was for R2R - but again, its also over 180 plugins. If those were all separate plugins (not in a bundle under the auspices of one conglomerate company) might you see it differently?

 

It's almost as if people don't realize they put in WORK to do these things for us. They put in hundreds of hours of work for no charge but the glory of honing their skills and knowing that the tools they unleash will help artists. You ought to be eternally (and not seasonally) grateful for this and really not be asking for more more more. What do YOU bring to the table that justifies such demands of others and their free, charitable time???

 

exactly, R2R (and others) already provided more than enough "happiness", if you're not satisfied with what you have already, then it's high time you should work on yourself! How much more do you need..seriously?!

More power to R2R and their alternative way! For poor musicians, it may actually be the only opportunity to go from Rags 2 Riches ha ha!

 

This isn't fair to R2R. They have no control on how Sonible's EQ behaves. In other news, Sonible's smart:limit and smart:comp2 has a lot of fanboys, me included.

True story here. I live in a poor country, so, if i aimed to do what i do now, i couldn't. My machine is not the strongest, iLok is the new word for "social segregation" and probably would waste tons of money that were essential for my surviving on plugins, before even knowing them (sorry, 14 days trials don't work for nothing, demos less than that). The plugins that i use now are nothing related to the ones i used when i was begining, just because now i know they weren't good for me and wouldn't give any penny back on my music. I started using ones i really loved, observing how people on the companies liked music and put their effords to make our music sounds better and easier and kept myself with those companies. Even if i can't buy the whole bundle, i can buy now the ones that are essential for my production, some new gear, and still survive. I'm not rich, but if wasnt R2R i would be dead or really depressed doing something else on my life that wasnt music. You guys really saved me. Thanks

We may want more , but we don't really need anything more to do good music.

Also, most people forget that time is the most precious thing in this world. You can't buy time, you can't change time, you can only spend it.
R2R are spending an enormous quantity of time to make us happy, to help musicians, composers and engineers to achieve their goals. So they are literally gift giving us the most precious thing in the world: their time.

Every one who ask for more should remember that.
