I'm having problems importing a soundbank into the KORG wavestate? It seems to import "something" with success, but when clicking on sounds in the librarian it says "missing samples"? Am I missing something? I only use the sounds/samples in a DAW.. - Any help is much appreciated... Thanks!

 

happen the same to me..theres 2 folders of megamagic pads and synths...i imported the banks..but missing samples...dont know where to store the folder of samples....anyone can help please?

get the free sample builder from korg
https://www.korg.com/us/support/download/product/0/840/

open the *.korgbank in "sample builder"

in sample builder go to "File .. Save Bank for plug-in"

output is a *.korgcompiledbank

I save them to "Documents\korg\wavestate"

You set that dir in Korg Native, ". . ." User sample banks"
then you can go to librarian ... import ... and load the *.wsbundle

Someone know if we can use and load these Maik Schotts patches/programs in the 'KORG Wavestate Native' plugin or do we necessarily need the hardware?

 

If you look at the reply above from jpn99dk, the answer is yes. Follow the steps he lays out using the Sample Builder. The banks must be converted for the plugin.

 

still ask me for wav samples ..in some banks i download from sister site...i put all the user samples folder(wav i suppose) in one of my hds,and pointing in settings to user samples...but still ask me some wavs...a bit confused now,really..despite i followed the steps,above mentioned...but thanks anyway..

It took a little time to get it right.. Now it works.. Thank's for the guide.. Awesome!

 

Somewhere along the way (maybe wavestate native 3.0?) you'd be able to import soundbanks right into the plugin w/o the need for an unnecessary and inconveniencing sample builder app.

 

Is it me or does every Wavestate preset pack released on the sister site recently that contained samples have a few missing?

From what I can tell there are no missing samples.

The patches with the nag screen informing of missing samples have just not been saved after editing.

The performance related to each patch still plays correctly from what I can gather, generally meaning the layer with reported missing samples is not active with that particular performance (unless you activate that layer obviously).

You have two options, resave the patch with the report of missing samples? I haven’t done this so not sue if it clears the nag or not, in writing I am thinking it will not because the sample lane is still expecting samples.

What I have done with the few performances reporting missing samples is double click the red missing samples text, this informs which layers have missing samples.

Go to that layer, you may need to turn that layer on to access, select “Wave Seq” to see sample lane, generally the name of that layer will give an indication of what sample is missing.

Click missing sample slot, go to user samples and select the relevant sample, as a not you can copy past samples across multiple sample slots once the first one is populated.

Once sample slots are populated remember to turn that layer back off if it was not originally activated or the performance will now have a layer activated that was never intended.

Click save patch and voila. No more missing sample nag screen.

Hope this is explained ok and helps someone.

Apologies I should have been clear I was referencing the 4 released Maik Schott packs.

Having just installed fourth pack The Trevor Horn Era, as previously reported this pack does have missing samples.

The above instructions work on the other 3 packs when patches report missing samples.

I tried the explained way,
-open bank with sample builder
-locate the missing samples and rewrite the original bank
(original bank loads now fine in sample Builder)
-create the compiled Plugin Bank with Sample Builder

...but now every time after I set the User Bank address and
after press ok its crashing (Standalone and also in Logic AU)

M1 Ventura 13.4.1
Logic 10.7.9

i also tried now different SampleBank-App Versions (also with Rosetta)
1.0.2 have no plugin export
1.1.0 no luck
1.2.4 no luck (i started with this)
1.2.6 no luck
