Everything worked fine for me in Windows 10, uninstalled all previous plugins either by Revo or by hand,
the only thing that's not working for me is when i try to register Mega Sampler, i get this error. "Signature Integrity check failed with the error code 8". Couldn't find any way to fix it, maybe someone can help? Thanks.

Hi..Cubase 12 and windows 10?

 

I recently installed the plugin alliance mega bundle from the sister site. I'm using these plugins on a Windows 11 machine (latest update) and Studio One 6 (also latest update).

I noticed that whenever I add some bx_***** plugins (like the bluechorus or the single or dual rectifier), Studio One just crashes. I installed the wrapper, then installed the vst3 plugins and used the keygen to generate the pa.license file.

I did have some of those bx_**** plugins pre-installed before I did the mega bundle installation, so maybe this has something to do with it. I removed all the vst3 files from the PA vst3 folder, deleted them and reinstalled the mega bundle once again but those few bx_*** plugins are still crashing studio one.

Is there any way to fix this?

 

You kind of answered yourself as to one possible solution. Make certain your sessions/projects are backed up.
next, uninstall plugin alliance, nuke all links related to PA setting, nuke all PA info Windows registry, restart system.
Before doing anything else, make certain you are not connected to internet and that virus detection is off (defender or 3rd party).

Now follow R2R.txt instructions as listed (all as administrator):

1. Install PA Wrapper Core 2022
2. Install software - bulk cmd or single installers
3. Activate PA Software

I missed a few folders the first time and had to start over to enable activation.

had tha same problem with some spl small plugins crashing Ableton. Make sure everything is uninstalled properly then install the mega bundle. Bought plugins can work with it but it is better to start from a clean install.

 

Windows 11

 

1. just delete VST3(VST2) plugins from Brainworx (new PA based on Plugin Alliance folder, not Brainworx)

You have old and new plugins at the same time and the old plugins have been cached in you DAW
(old vst3 PA plugin loads with new source files from new PA source folder it causes crashes)
2. Re-scan plugins at startup, it will clean your cache

Have you checked for duplicates ? probably in the VST3 folders. Easy way to check for duplicates is if you have Reason installed. Just run the Reason DAW and let it scan VST, open the plugin manager and see "Enable/Disabled" list, it will tell you if you have duplicates (or other problem when the plugin is disabled) and its location.

 

Thanks Steve, appreciate your help! I had everything removed from my machine that was needed to get this done. Turns out the problem was with a file in Studio One that has a running log of every plug you've ever installed for use in the DAW. It needed to be cleaned up, which I did, and now everything is working 100%, no problems at all. Wish I had known about that file before, spent a helluva lot of time looking around for stuff that wasn't even there. Live and learn. Thanks again.

I'm really hoping that someone here can help me with this issue because I can't figure it out like I normally can. I'm like a dog and won't stop.

I've just installed all of the Plugin Alliance VST's that were very, very kindly given to us by R2R. I have just one VST that won't activate. Boom. I have loaded up every single other VST to see if I had the same problem with others (that wasn't time-consuming at all) and I don't have a single problem with their problem with any of them. Just Boom.

If anyone could help me with this I'd greatly appreciate it because right now I have no idea how to get this single plugin to work.

 

First a question...Did you follow the instructions from R2R? If you just installed over the old R2R or V.R. version, your new install is corrupted.
The only way to remedy this is to:

1. uninstall all PA related plugins
2. find and remove left over folders
3. remove entries for PA related plugins from Windows registry (optional but, highly recommended)
4. restart system

Using the included instructions in R2R.txt, install the latest R2R release.

If you have the post bundle AMEK Mastering Compressor & the Lindell MBC, install these before activating anything from the new bundle.
Otherwise you will have to re-activate all or some plugins.

Also remember to run keygen & installers as Administrator.

I did indeed follow all of the instructions, and I didn't have a previous version of Boom.

It looks like uninstalling them with IObit Uninstaller and cleaning out all of the leftover files is my only option.

But yeah, I'm very good at keeping on top of trace files. There's obviously something that I've done wrong.

See, I do have the post bundle, and it's that one plugin that doesn't want to play. I've installed the latest VSTs that have been shared, and it's still only that one plugin that doesn't want to play. I have yet again loaded up everything, and they work fine. It really is just this one that isn't having any of it.

This really is just my fucking luck. And yep, I always run as admin.

I do think the best thing to do at this point is uninstall everything, and delete all reg files and anything related to PA.

It's a bloody good job that I enjoy this sort of thing!

You already answered my next question.
Having cleaned up the registry, it should work after reinstalling, you may have a try.
In some cases running a daw in compatibility mode for a prior windows version solved many plugin issues a few years ago, I remember both the Soundtoys and the Softube bundles to be affected by this.
But I think you are right, it's a very weird issue.

I have tried running in admin mode, but not tried running in compatibility mode. That will be the next thing to try and thank you for the suggestion.

Yeah, it is a very weird issue. I don't understand how everything else is working absolutely fine, aside from this one plugin. I'm probably;y reaching for what the issue could be, but this VST is the only one with a drop-down menu for effects. Yeah, I think I'm really thinking too much about that. It just seems like a very random coincidence.

Yea, its something done wrong on your end. Not purposely of course. Just edited the CMD to only install Boom and it loaded up no issues. Windows auto updates?? (i disable them)
try reinstalling it.
make a copy of the CMD file to edit. (So you dont accidently overwrite the original CMD file) and
and only install Boom. That nigga right about the registry. Also. Uninstalling and Reinstalling my DAW (pro tools) fixes almost any issue Ive encountered when involving crash loops, plugins or settings glitch /error. No worries. it doesnt effect plug ins nor presets.




i forgot. check windows defender. it false flagged Crispy Tuner as a trojan with me. i had to "Restore" it and "Allow" it before i was able to use it. cause defender auto deleted it.
