Softube Console 1 with latest firmware and R2R?

    I got Softube Console 1 hardware and have used it with R2R's massive Softube release.
    I read in some comment somewhere that if you install the latest firmware version of the Console 1 it will not work with R2R's releases.

    Can anyone confirm if this is true?

    EDIT: Conclusion: As of now, Console 1 works with latest firmware but NOT Fader 1. A good tip is to not update firmwares/software from Softube..

    I confirm that the R2R version with the latest firmware can no longer be used.

    when was this "new" firmware released ?
    Because , im using a second hand Console 1 for a month now , and i've updated everything and i also using the older r2r Releases
    all the Channel strips are working perfectly

    I have uninstalled all my legit Softube-plugins since I don't want iLok installed anymore:
    Console 1 Software Version (R2R): 2.5.9
    Console 1 Hardware Firmware version: 1.23|3

    Latest Console 1 Software version is: 2.5.56 according to Softube. Since this isn't cracked, I guess it won't work anyhow...
    So getting latest Firmware might not be unnecessary. I'm guessing the firmware is packed together with Console 1 software, but I can't find it inside any installer.... Maybe there's no firmware update at all?

    Are you using legit version of Console 1 Software, later than v2.5.9, with R2R's releases?

    I'm using version 2.5.55 (november release) and all R2R versions plugins still work. Version 2.5.56 was released a couple weeks ago but i didnt update yet, and might not as its clearly not an interesting update

    i am on legit 2.5.56 console & fader with updated firmware on devices & R2R working sweet & tested.

    If your having trouble you could try a firmware reset on the hardware by holding, Shift & Hard Gate as you plug in the usb ?

    Only time I saw a firmware update was when i plugged the unit the first time, then i only had the sofware updates, but they could have wrapped that firmware inside them, dont really know

    What exactly IS the version that supposedly brakes it?
    Is it really a firmware update for the hardware or is it just the latest Console 1 Software?

    I PM'd the commentor that got my attention, and he said this:

    "Dont know when it started with what version because it was many many months ago, Firmware was updated silently with new GUI Version i think with the new db meter System in Console 1 appearing..after that r2r Version stopped working with connected Hardware.
    As legit User u cannot abort or undo their Updates to go to older version or firmware thats a shame.. you can just download and install latest versions. So wont work if R2R doesnt Update their Console 1 realese to 2.5.56"

    People are saying different things now, I rather be careful since it isn't possible to downgrade the firmware.

    Can anyone confirm the firmware version he /you claim not to be working? I’m also on firmware 1.23/3 & software 2.5.56 & not having issues.
    This way we can find out if it’s a you problem or a us problem & see if we can come up with a fix if it’s not the firmware causing a issue for you.

    So, i have figured it out...

    IF - you have a new or second hand CONSOLE 1 and R2R (and not the Softube Central Software) .. you have no problems at all (despite you dont have the latest EQ Strip with more EQ Bands, or the new dB Metering and Drive Feature etc. etc. this all comes with just the actual version of Console 1) - but you will face no errors at all. Its just outdated and lacks features...

    BUT -- If you use a CONSOLE 1 + a FADER! the Fader is what causes the ERROR showing on Systems with R2R install
    it gives out an error that the firmware you are using is to new for the software please install the new Softube version from vendor.
    ( this all If you had used the fader with a newer version than R2R´s as seen on Softube Account, or the former owner had used it with his Softube Account - if you can find a second hand Fader which never seen a newer version you are a lucky one! but i doubt that you will find such a fader console)


    The solution is.. if you use a Console Fader (with Console 1 R2R Version) from a second hand buy - if it had used with actual licensed version of legit Console Fader Software it will not function you have to disconnect it or OSD will show you Error permanently till an updated R2R Version of CONSOLE FADER and CONSOLE 1 from this team comes out. If you just have a pure Console 1 .. it doesnt matter you can use old R2R but you will miss the new Features that come with the recent updates. If you have a legit Console 1 and Fader you, of course, cannot use R2R alongside Homecalling Softube Software Center, then nothing is function, or use it with different PC Systems .. one with just the R2R Softube Console Stuff and the other with your legit ones but you still cannot use the fader as discriebd before - just a Console 1 without fader.

    Confused! .. Sure. Me, too. But thats what it is. Hope for an updated Version of Console1/Fader and this will work till a new Fader Version, and so on... or NEVER! start Softube Update Software or newest Version of a Fader Software with your Fader and let it old like it is.

    If you ask me to what Firmware Version Fader is working without probs with R2R, i dont know, you may ask the people in this thread which have no problems with R2R and Console 1 Fader that they tell you the firmware they are on.
