You need SQL Manager (for example this - DB Browser for SQLite)to add something to your Library.db and not lose your saved presets and profiles.
I have video how this method works with adding profiles in your Library.db (Not in English)
You can share here link for profiles.

 

Is there any difference in standalone tonex and tonex in amplitube functionality wise? If I'll buy amplitube5 max I can use tonex and tonenet like in the tonenet application? AT5 max is 99€ and tonex 149.

AT5 can load now pedals from Tonex and this is great feature. Sound the same. You can use ToneNET in AT5 and in Tonex if you buy this - AmpliTube 5 MAX + TONEX only $/€149.98

 

I watched your video and even it is in cyrilics, I might be able to try that. Would be more useful in english.

 

But why I need tonex also? It says in the ik site tonex integrated in AT5. I have no use for making my own profiles, if thats the difference with integrated and standalone tonex.

 

You can check this page also

AT5 has only slots to load Tonex Modules. If you not install Tonex you can't see and use this in AT5.
You can't download Tonex profiles from ToneNET AT5. For this need Tonex.

Hi,

AI capture is totally different from how Impulses responses work. So you won't find any wave file in a AI modeled preset (in fact it is more like a kind of matrix numbers). The advantage of AI is that it should be able to replicate the cabinet distorsion and non-linearity when IR capture cannot.

But you can do it the "old way". Capture the tonex cab with an IR capture software.
For the science (and the fun), I captured the Tonex "maryland hi-gain" cabinet using free impulse capture plugin from blue lab audio (https://plugins4free.com/plugin/3619/).

After capture, I used Voxengo Boogex free IR loader, and the result is not so far from the tonex Cabinet.
I join some audio with the original Tonex and the IR copy.

Let me know if you want me to generate some IRs from tonex presets...

 

What I do is that I export my presets (right click) before I updating my library and then re-import them.
It seems when you export a preset, you export the profile too (it is embedded in the preset file).

So preset is a convenient (and may be the only) way to share profiles.

 

Yeah, I checked it out. I would've paid 99 + vat but not gonna pay 170€. So the I keep replacing my library or be content with it the way it is now when I last updated.

OFFTOPIC:
Two Notes Wall of Sound blocks Offline Rendering so you have to pass the sweeps thru it's cabs using Online Rendering and make sure the occasional silence didn't appear (demo mode) while you are rendering the file.

 

who would've thought. 31 pages so far about an ik amp sim. i do own A5 and freebie tonex but don't think its behaving properly on high sierra so haven't explored it.

 

I've tested/own every guitar plugin there is and tonex is by far the most interesting. If ik keeps perfecting tonex, it will also become the best guitar plugin there is. The best profiles are on par with my fractal or even better.

 

@Jal_76, are your bought profiles better than "free" ones ?

Not better than the best free ones. There are good ones out there if you have time to check out +4500 profiles
