    How did you install plugins?
    Individually or with batch installer?

  5. Thanks for the clarification on the purpose of those 1kb files. One problem though... based on reading thru threads that had comments about this on a few different sites, it becomes apparent that in many instances those 1kb files weren't noticed until people were already having some problems getting this working and then started looking around to see if they could sort it out. That's when they found the large number of 1kb files. So, you have it a little backwards. People were already having some difficulties before they began playing with those 1kb files.

I'm starting to think some of the problems may be due to the fact there's a zillion plugins in this release and people aren't aware which plugins they have older installs of that will need to be removed in order for this to work properly. Not all of those older releases are labelled "Plugin Alliance" which of course would make things easier to know what to remove. I would bet many people installing this entire package don't even know exactly what's in this until its on their machine, and therefore don't know exactly what older installs needed to first be removed. I'm guessing this is what's causing people (me included!!) to find some of the new plugs not working.

its always mentioned to remove previous releases why anyone would not remove previous releases is strange concidering R2R has always mentioned remove previous releases
also there only needs to be one license generated not a license for each plugin so if anyone is looking for multiple licenses you will not find them
activate one plugin and they are all activated

    1. install Setup Plugin Alliance Wrapper Core 2022 v2.0.0.exe
    2. check C:\Windows\System32 for R2RPA22.dll
    3. install plugins
    4. run keygen create license
    5. activate with license

it just not that hard of a process

  7. You didn't read what I said. Yes, R2R's directions are very clear in that previous releases need to be removed. However, there's 170 plugs in this release, and people downloading it aren't entirely familiar with all that's included in it. Therefore, they don't realize they have prior installs that need to be removed. As I said above, if everything previously released was also labelled "Plugin Alliance" it would make it a lot easier, but that's not the case. People may have installed something a year or two ago that's just sitting there and they've forgotten all about it and don't realize there's an update included in this R2R release.

    Hi! Guest

'its my thread and i'll .. if I want to! ... if I want to! ... if I want to!.......

But seriously, there is already another thread to discuss errors and fixes ( https://audiosex.pro/threads/plugin-alliance-error.68379/ ), this aint it. Some people are copying/pasting the same post to multiple threads and its boring.

This one was created to talk about the plugins themselves, which ones are shit, which ones are golden that you cant live without and how they stack up against others in todays highly oversaturated market. Please and :thanks:

I got got with the recent release of Sylenth. I used BCUninstaller to uninstall the previous installs. I find it tends to be more rigorous in what it finds than Revo -- because I can never remember to use Revo to do the installation. Anyway, I used uninstalled the earlier version, reinstalled the update and couldn't register it to save my life.

A couple of hours later, I figured out that I actually had TWO copies of Sylenth installed. BC uninstaller was only finding and uninstalling one of them -- presumably because the uninstall app and all references in the registry were gone, but sitting in my VST folder was a full install of Sylenth -- presets and everything, all in the same folder. No idea how it got there. I deleted that and everything went as described in the installation instructions, just as they should.

bx_subsynth, bx_masterdesk, bx_console Focusrite for processing, Unfiltered Audio does some wild FX stuff (Sandman Pro is great) and I quite like bx_oberhausen as well.

I tried some plugins from the bundle.
    - Everything from Brainworx is worth checking out. Even though they don't have built-in presets, most of the controls are intuitive. Oberhausen synth is great!
    - ADPTR Sculpt is great for reshaping the dynamics and envelope of a sound. It has some good presets to start with.
    - Unfiltered Audio has weird effects that I guess could be layered with dry sounds to spark your creativity.
    - NEOLD Warble, great for lofi stuff.
    - DS Tantra 2 (my fave). It can transform a flat pad into a rhythm section.
    - SPL Transient Designer, a must-have
    - Kirchhoff EQ, a must-have along with FF Q3.

I didn't like the amp stuff. I prefer to have one big plugin with many FX simulations rather than many plugins with single specific FX.

I wasn't particularly impressed by most of their plugins that I tried. They're not bad, but they completely lack the 'wow' or 'awesome' factor. I believe there are much better alternatives to the majority of them. But I guess taste has a lot to do with it. I also find many of their GUIs overly cluttered (those bx_consoles gave me eye cancer).

man, the orange rockergain is pure awesomeness.

The ones I've been using since the dawn of time:
-bx shredspread (works great in guitar buses, better than wave's s1 and many other stereo imagers that I've tried so far)
-bx refinement (even being a legit soothe user I use this a lot, sometimes just works better and the saturation knob is highly underrated)

The one I've been using for a year or so:
-Lindell SBC (a very nice compressor, the thd knob obliterates dynamic range in a very natural way, sometimes that's what you want)

The ones that have just found their way into my keeper's list:
    -bx Rockergain 100 (dude!)
-bx console Amek 9099 (it is really good)

The ones I use just sometimes and are handy to have just lying there:
    - Unfiltered Audio Bass Mint
    - bx stereomaker
    - bx subsynth
    - Lindell 80 (I almost never use it nowadays)
    - Dangerous BAX (sometimes you just want a fast way to make a happy face)

    Honorable mention:
    - townhouse buss compressor (it is really good but too crunchy in the hi-mid range for my taste)
    - Kirchoff (but in my mind this is still not a PA plugin dunno why lol)

Let's see, PA stuff that's worth checking out...:
-Kniff soma (though don't expect it to sound like the Soma at all. It's a decent EQ on it's own)
-AMEK EQ200 and EQ250 (The frequency labels are quite a bit off in one of these two (i think the 250) so it's hard to compare directly, but once you get it right they're pretty similar)
    -Blackbox HG-2
-Basically any compressor. One shall never stop exploring compressors, or so the voices tell me.

HA! good one. PA is absolutely expendable to me, but the Shadowhills comps are slightly less expendable than the rest.

I'm not interested in the bundle, far too much. There are some plugins that are worth using/keeping/buying, at least for me. Here's a list in no particular order:

    • Townhouse Buss Compressor
    • BX Limiter
    • Tantra 2
    • Metric A/B
    • Ampeg SVT3 Pro
    • Blackbox HG-2
    • Engl Savage 120
    • Lindell 902 De-Esser
    • Knif Audio Soma
    • Shadow Hills Compressor
    • Transient Designer Plus
    • Friedman Buxom Betty
