    DAW - Cubase 12
3rd Party - Mastering the Mix Limiter

It's proving, so far, to be a versatile tool. Not only a limiter, it also analyzes your audio for suggested levels, including LUFs, and has two additional tricks up its sleeve - saturation and punch. The saturation adds a gentle warmth and fullness to your track.

Update: I had a chance to demo Sonible's Smart:Limit and I like that better. In addition to saturation, it also tells if your dynamics are too wide and how to narrow it.

Fl Studio I don't use stock plugings but if I could only have one I'd have to say echo cat by waves factory.. I can get so many different tones and add depth or bring things forward.. I can make it sound vintage and also have a nice 3 level delay.. ya I'd say echocat

Ableton. TBH, that should be enough...

I don't professionally mix/master so stock plugins are more than enough. Let's not forget there are really good ones built in, like Cytomic compressor that by itself (The Glue? I think it's the same-ish) costs 100 $/€ and it's never on sale.

To have it all I would need a hq complete standard orchestra. But I don't want to say Kontakt cause it feels like cheating. I'll say:
+ a plugin with a good complete orchestra

    DAW: FL Studio

Instrument: Unfiltered Audio LION (I can't stand FL Studio's stock synths let me have this please )
It's very versatile in what can be made. FM/Phase Distortion/Granular/New Types of synthesis with unlimited FX/Modulation. Phase Plant is similar in many ways, but isn't as good for ambient soundscapes in my opinion since there's no granular engine or good reverb.

    FX: TDR Molot GE
FL Studio's stock compressors are awful to me. Molot GE allows for great saturation, compression & transient shaping with its adjustable attack curve. Can be mostly transparent if you want it to be too.

MXXX for FX, and probably Kontakt for instruments even if I'm only allowed free libraries.

There's no electrical power on a desert island so I would bring my guitar.
    Nothing like real physical vibration:woot:

    Right?

Also, why would anyone bring mixing/mastering tools to a desert island? Nobody's gonna listen to your stuff EVER, so who cares if it sounds like pro audio? :dunno: Just take the stuff that'll keep you from dying of boredom, like Bitwig and Polyverse plugins or something, darn it.

For me, it's a touch choice as I have a few staples I couldn't do without.

For my DAW, it'd definitely be Cubase Pro 12 as it's fully featured, awesome MIDI editing capabilities, has outstanding stock plugins as well as features like VariAudio, meaning most plugin requirements, even down to the likes of Melodyne/AutoTune etc are covered with stock features.

For my additional plugin, it would hands down have to be Kontakt, as long as it's not classed as modular and I could bring the libraries with me too

As a standalone plugin, in case Kontakt is considered modular by the forum thread Gods, I would choose Spitfire Audio's BBC Symphonic Orchestra Pro as, to me, it is the absolute complete orchestral needs in a single plugin that would allow for endless musical possibilities while on my little island alone!
