Sonic Academy update ANA to 2.5 featuring multi-sampling - 17th November 2022

Sonic Academy have updated their ANA Synthesizer to version 2.5. Their biggest upgrade to date in terms of features, ANA now features multi-sampling for the three sample oscillators along with a number of other new features.

Deep-sampled instruments are now available from right within ANA. The three sample oscillators can be blended with the additional subtractive / FM oscillators for a wide range of sounds. The update also ships with a new preset pack, utilising the multi-sampling engine and includes Steinway pianos, strings, choirs, guitars and more - a total of 30 sampled instruments and 100 new presets.

Sonic Academy have also added pitch drift to each of the oscillators, allowing you to control micro changes in pitch with each note press to mimic classic analogue sound more closely. In the filter section, options for gain staging have been added, allowing control over how the filter drive works and thus altering the sonic qualities of the many filters on hand.

ANA 2.5 is a free update for existing users. New users can purchase ANA at Sonic Academy on sale for £84 (£140 Reg).

 

These guys at sonic academy are the worst coders from which I legit use their plugins (Kick and ANA) in every project. Kick has very suboptimized envelope gui designer and also looks to be abandonware and ANA still has a bunch of interface issues from day zero, many times reported and never corrected to this day. Can't have it all I suppose

 

On the other side, there was a BIG jump between ANA 1 and ANA 2 (witch sounds VERY good)
