    I know it's been settled, but I would recommend the following:

    Native Instruments Sessions Strings 2 (or Session Strings Pro)
    Soundiron Hyperion Strings Elements
    Audio Modeling SWAM Solo Strings
    Sample Modeling Solo, Chamber & Ensemble Strings - sampled an anechoic chamber (unshared on sister site)

    Totally agree. Can't wait for Virharmonic to work on a viola library! Latest bohemian violin leaves the option for a violin 1 & 2, which is amazing. I personally use 8Dio's quintet viola and 8Dio's Deep Solo bass for legato passages to create my own quintet. BUT, no shorts; only legato and sustains.

    I've tested Spitfire Abbey Road 2 for shorts but don't own it. I think a combination of virhamonic and abbey road 2 could do wonders.

    (that being said, bohemian violin & cello for UVI as shared on sister site are a nightmare in terms of loading times + pitch tends to be off. latest polished versions for Gorilla engine show a lot of improvements)
