rather than the workflow, it's the problem that you have 10 different ways to do the same thing. in fact they are trying to fix this by making tracks+instrument+mixer all one thing, i think they already did it.
i've used fl studio for almost 10 years, recently i've been trying ableton and i must admit i do not miss it (i love fl studio, don't get me wrong). the only thing i miss is Edison and the piano roll.

So it's probably then best for someone to keep bouncing audio clips and midi clips between daws if they want to use 2 daws? I thought ReWire was probably as intuitive as it was going to get before it was scrapped altogether.

I have been curious about using Reason alongside FL lately for my electronic projects actually. Just curious about Reason in general, it looks pretty awesome. Reaper is so straight forward for my metal projects though. It's lots to learn but I really enjoy it.

It is so weird that so many non FL users, take time out of their day to write in a chat about a daw they don't use. I never even bother to click on subjects of other daws i don't use because it would be pointless!!! I couldn't imagine myself in a logic, pro tools or any other daw forum talking about everything I dont like about it. Extremely weird behavior......

The fact that The Cult of Image Line thinks these upgrades are "INSANE"speaks volumes about how backwards the development process has been for FL. getting fade in and outs on audio clips is insane after over 20 years of bullshit features? i think some perspective is in order

That is just an ordinary clickbait title, what does it have to do with a cult? This hating on FL Studio is just ridiculous

Ye, also don't understand the hate. A friend of mine who produces music for some of the bigger players in the industry and for TV shows just found out that FL has a much better workflow for his purposes than Logic Pro & Pro Tools does and some of the greatest DnB producers also use FL - means it's a taste thing like with iOS & Android. Both sides hate each other but in the end both are equal in quality for the customers who use it.

"The only thing missing is all the modular components,"...

these ones can build with MuLab9 plugin, even Cubase is fun with it
[IMG]has a nice UI builder (as Patcher) and all the stuffs can be put onto it

ps. for ex. can recreate the xy device of Bitwig with it

It's not which Daw you use, it's how you use it. :)

Aye wrote an entire “shoegaze” album in flstudio 14 … sadly aye feel as though the interface and workflow has gone quite up its own quif since then .. just can’t get m head around the clunky blocks … also, ableton seems to have destroyed m ability to use the piano roll… anyone else get this? Is it possible to retrain , ore even change the control to feel natural ?? Also: aye remember slicer actually being amazing , but it seems soh inscrutable nao… heh…

Yes, I am a long time Ableton user trying to get my head around FL studio as well. The pattern based workflow is such a different beast coming from Ableton. I can see the FL studio piano roll is vastly superior but the workflow drives me nuts.

I'm a certified idiot and every time I try to migrate to another DAW from FL Studio it's a big giant fail. That said, it suits my needs well enough even though I record playing all the instruments live (one at a time of course:yes:) and rarely use it for sequenced tracks. I'm set in my flow and ways and am happy with it.

I use FL Studio as a secondary DAW. The workflow can be a bit confusing but I love some of their synths and the piano roll.
This video is a decent quickfire overview of the piano roll and more. Start at about 2.10:

Wait...Is the problem is that FL is too flexible? Cause that's like... a good...thing? lol.

Don't rain on the OP/TA's parade.

We all have our preferences. It is only a matter of time before every DAW on the market has everything another one does. One DAW gets a new feature, and within 6 months, most of the others do too. Slagging a person or DAW because it wasn't first or with "Big deal, DAW X had it 6 months ago" only means it had it 6 months ago. BTW I do not use FL either.
Everything balances out and really, it's only personal preference.
