    Good for singing voice and health:

    Rinse your mouth vigorously with a small sip of cooking oil every day and spit it out - this binds germs. I was able to get rid of a cold I had just caught overnight several times. again overnight. Supportive are ginger tea, vitamin C and zinc.

    Ginger tea and manuka honey helped me a lot. Never heard about the cooking oil thing though... Usually, just salt wash/gargle. I would also pour boiling hot water into a bowl, put a towel over my head and breathe in the mist for a few minutes - mostly on days I had a little more mucus to clear out of my throat.

    A tea or lozenge with slippery elm really lubes up my throat, and like executioner mentioned, Manuka honey is heaven sent.

    For sore throat and to seek and destroy, kill any nasty bacteria or virus (you hear me Covid?) in your throat, one drop of quality organic lavender oil will do the trick. Drop it into your tongue, swallow and feel it slowly coat your throat and literally instantly feel relief. Nothing that can make you sick can survive the onslaught.

    You can also draw warm salt water through your nose. The salt disinfects or kills germs.
    But please check on the Internet beforehand how to do this and how much salt you need.

    I second that : google " Neti pot ", you easily can find a plastic pot, usually delivered with a dosing spoon; make sure you're using real sea-salt, with body temperature water (avoid tap water, especially if you live in the US, many bad stories because of germs and other pollutants)

    it's not easy at first, but once you get used to it, you will be amazed how better you breathe.
    Our nose should be properly cleaned just like our ears ( and the rest of the body )

    good quality honey can help too :
