    I had the hardware, i remember it having more bite, which made it pretty harsh at times. The plugin is a bit too soft on that side, which is bad for the solo part but veeeeery welcome for the string part.

    Add to that the fact that the hardware felt like it was going to break just by looking at it, that's no longer an issue here, and it's way cheaper.

    I love it. It's not a synth for everyone but i really missed this thing.

    remember that there is no conversion from digital to analog and the audio cables are missing. It is pure digital, this will result in cleaner sound.
    You can add bit reduction plugins to emulate this as close as possible. Decimort by D16 for example.

    This comes best around when you compare a real virus c hardware synth with the DSP56300 Osirus with virus C ROM loaded, it will simply sound cleaner, not that we want that maybe. (here we know the ROM file is identical wo the rom inside the hardware, so we know it doesnt come from anything else.)
    I was really not aware how this is audible and that is probably an argument for hardware.
