I was wondering how your black friday shopping spree went so far.
It was pretty disappointing for me, ngl.
I got 2 PA plugins (so I could use the Soundwide bundle w/o USB stick shenanigans) on Halloween and a MNTRA Library.
Pretty disappointing so far, but maybe we don't need as many plugins as we'd think?
Last year I got cool stuff like Soundtoys, but I would never buy Gullfoss or Soothe if they're not below 100€.
Why should I if DSEQ, TEOTE and Smooth Operator do the same job and are cracked?
(I know that BF is also for buying plugins you regularly use but pirated, but besides PA I didn't have the money for that)

I wonder if you made similar experiences? Or maybe the complete opposite?
Anyways, since the official BF has yet to wait a few days maybe other opportunities will show.

 

Black Friday is the GAS feast.

 

It's a little early to say it's disappointing. I did finally snag the whole Soundtoys bundle trading my Decapitator and Alterboy. Got my eyes on UAD plugins and waiting for PA to jump in with their BF deals. Other than that, I think I have more than enough plugins that do their job and the last thing I need is another Pultec emulation...

 

To me it's never disappointing. I don't buy on black friday.

 

1: the black friday its the 25 this time.
2: it depends on what u need/looking for.. so maybe its never enough plugins.
3:till now i dont see anything interesting... we have to remember that today all the world "its suffering" and of course no one gives u the best for free, neither gave u the best product for cents... un pluginboutique i saw some bundles interesting.. but meh... it depende on what u r looking for.

i can say im gettin tired of plugins... i just wanna grab kontakt 7 cause it doesnt exist a synth like kontakt, a sampler player with options etc.

 

Just updated V Collection from 8 to 9 for 99€ and the whole FX 3 Collection from a few single plugins for 69€ which is both a great deal imo

 

Vanguard 2 comes on thee 25th, then I will know if I'm happy or disappointed. Slate also got something coming, I hope it's maybe a good deal for perpetual license people?

 

I'm waiting to see what R2R releases this year. My Black Friday will be courtesy of those guys.

 

My dream will be just a single release from R2R: UAD Spark. I don't care about anything else.

 

Been eyeing Weiss DS1 mkiii for the longest but can't bring myself to pay over $200 for a plugin. Maybe this year will be it

Me too, I've not even looked at any deals.

Sure I'd find something to buy, but at the moment I just don't need anything. Of course this would really apply to 90% of sales, honestly.

 

Me neither & I haven't tried to look for any deals on purpose neither, though I'm sure I will see them inevitably here in a second as the new deals start pouring in. I'm sure everyone will be posting them on every forum.

I basically have all I need other than a new guitar but I plan on eyeing that next year so I think I will just buy me a fat sacka bud & appreciate all that I got this black friday. I'm going to do the same thing around Christmas. I'm not buying anything new this year.

 

I've been selling a few plugins i don't use to spend that money on buying plugins i won't use. I have a few in mind but not yet on sale so...pretty meh so far.

Sooo I bought Little Plate.... I don't feel like I need Alterboy because I got that Waves plugin... that's probably it for this year.
TDR has to wait again :P

 

Black friday is just like you came from supermarket for shopping spree sales and after that it got evenly expensive outcome, so the black friday plugin sale does, you came from the website like waves, bamboozled about the deductions and freebies, buying so much, and shopping guilt after that


so in my recommendation is be specific of what you buying for instance you may need some like eq, mastering stuff or synth and make it as target, shopping pressure maybe a thing like us, you need kinda temperance to yourself from plugin you desire stick to stock plugs or you got like soundwide package or freebies you found in BPB. and that's about it.

Typically if there's something I've had my eye on and it looks like R2R aren't coming to the rescue, then I will wait and take the plunge on Black Friday but this year it seems that most deals are already out there and they aren't that brilliant.
(Taking something down from £50 to £40 isn't that great particularly if you've three or four plugins on your list at this price or higher)
