I installed the new SDX Fields of Rock soundbank manually and specified the path for the SL library in Superior Drummer 3. SD3 tells me that Fields of Rock is fully installed but when I open the updater it tells me that the fields of rock folder is incomplete or corrupted and won't let me update this SDX.

Has anybody else encountered this problem with the FoR updater?

 

Run as admin or try to copy manually ?

 

If you've installed it "manually", you have to update it "manually".

 

Run as admin method still yields the same result. Copying the files manually changes the text inside the SD3 fields of rock libarry path menu to version 1.0.3 but it tells me that it's incomplete, whereas before it was recognized as fully complete and installed

"Installing" the soundbank manually has lead to a "full installation" with version 1.0.0. After copying the updater files manaully into the initial soundbank folder, SD3 recognizes, due to the new config file, that there's a new version 1.0.3, but something's lacking as it's now shown to not be fully installed or complete.

Do you get the same text as I do after the manual installation of the update files?

 

The Update itself doesn't seem to have any update to the Sounds so i'm wondering if it is totally necessary to update at this time. Would be good to see a changelog for this update. I think people are having problems on the RU site too.I'm just in the processes of copying to my external so can't give you direct help yet

Standard Installation (Default Mic Setup. This is a partial install of the library featuring all close,
primary overhead and all room microphones. This is the minimum install for the default presets to sound as intended.
DRY 1-23
LIVE 1-10
STONE 1-27
PERC 1-2
When I tried to use the Update installer i had the error message incomplete or corrupted .So I copied the "SL-FieldsOfRock" folder to the one on my external (where I put this library) and when asked to replace existing files did so. Everything is working (for my partial install).The MIDI installer worked with no problems(although the main one with the library was not included in the release) hopefully the full MIDI will appear soon

 

I guess this error message is kind of logic as all the MIDI files are missing from the main library...

 

Thanks for that installation option.
And how much space is needed to install it like that?

There is now a FIXED installer for update on sister site

 

98GB for the Partial .It's only 52GB smaller but i really don't need bleed and extra Mics plus i'm running out of drive space

 

- Install by copying (manually) whole SL-FieldsOfRock folder (150 GB, aka full installation).
- Then copying 1.0.3 update to SL-FieldsOfRock folder (I precise soundstat.dat are identical) - merge/replace existing files.
- Declare the path pointing to SL-FieldsOfRock folder, from Superior Drummer 3 settings (plugin or standalone).

Working like a charm from Superior Drummer v3.3.3 CE-V.R (Windows 10).

I avoid the Toontrack installers & updaters, they're a scam (to be polite) !!! => Take age to install/update (even from/to SSDs), and often... buggy!

I don't know about Field of Rock SDX MIDI, if complete or partial, however. At the moment, this Drum MIDI pack isn't sell separately.
