I would really love to see a developer emulate my very first synth (and it was awesome), the Farfisa Syntorchestra.

 

There kind of is one- The Legend in poly mode. It lacks the same architecture as an actual MemoryMoog but the basic concept of a phat poly MiniMoog is achieved...

Apogee's Softlimit is a free plugin, with high quality oversampling, that emulates the clipping effect of their rosetta converters. PSP Infinistrip also has an module called "ADC 90's" with a nice clear sound if not pushed too much and pretty agressive in extreme drive settings.

Im also a fan of converter clipping and those two options are giving me the sound i wanted (especially the first one)

Sounds cool, I really want tot try it, but sadly I got no invitation. I wonder if the samples are really different or if they just sound basically the same, only slightly different.

Interesting, but it wreaks of snake oil. I am very suspicious when with a product making claims such as this a devs website has a "dope" video that does not show it "creating state-of-the-art artificial intelligence generated novel drum samples from scratch". Coupled with no demo and an invite only waiting list? Pfff... no wonder its a one time "exclusive" $150 purchase.

Personally, making "dope" drum sounds from scratch myself, you know using 3D world instruments and sounds, synths, processing etc., is half the fun and excitement of making a new song. But sure, if this magically knows what I like and need, does it all for me and the results are consistently unique, as good or better than what I make myself, it'd be useful on those days I want to get straight to tracking other musical ideas in my head.. or do they have a plugin for that too?

The closest I can think of is maybe Apogee Soft Limit, but it's just a native version of the clipping/limiting algorithm used in their converters (so all clipping in Apogee converters are digital, not analog, if I understand it correctly).

Acustica Audio HWMC supposedly has sampled the DAC's of Howie's dCS and Mytek converters.

I use Standard Clip for all of my clipping needs. Apogee Soft Limit, SIR Standard Clip, Voxengo OVC-128, Kazrog KClip etc all sound perfectly fine for emulating this kind of soft- and hard-clipping (IMO).

 

Sooo, i actually bought the emergent drums and tried it. (maybe for two hours right now)

The first impression is good, and I thought that this would be not the case because my drum needs are special.

The Plugin actually did well, and I was surprised! I will test it a few days in other situations and will keep you updated!


Also, i would love the opinion from people who tried "MACE"

I have a few of the Cherry Audio synths. They aren't too bad, but there tend to be better options out there, like Auturia's synths... but this is interesting anyways. I love the CS-80, so another tool in the toolbox would interest me. I'll at least check out the demo.
