    Hi,
I have many sata hdd and it sucks to say the least, loading samples takes time, converting midi to audio has a lot of issues, etc.
I am looking to buy an ssd to solve some of my problems. Which one would you recommend me buying out of these? I am looking to store my libraries on my hard drive and load/use them.

Also, Is there a way I can change my external hdd to ssd ?

Honestly, you cant go wrong with probably any NVME Ssd, but I'm a big fan of Samsung drives. I think they also have a new one either out now, or out soon. Western Digital Black Nvme very good too.

SATA SSD also going to do very well for your needs too, if you don't have NVME (well you could get a pcie nvme card) or want to stick with SATA.

Either option will blow the doors off of a regular clunky, mechanical HDD. Even the cheaper ones. I have 3 NVMEs.. 2 Samsung (960 evo and a 980) and one crucial (P1). All are fantastic - very fast. I have a couple SATA SSD as well, an old Samsung 840 and a Seagate cuda 120. Both are great. I actually have my kontakt libraries spread across both.

Any SSD is likely to make you happy performance wise, so do a little research and aim for a good price and prioritize RELIABILITY over performance gains you likely won't care enough about (IMO).

As far as your question about making your HDD an ssd, if youre asking if you can convert it, no... But you could of course move everything that needs the extra speed off of it and on to the SSD.
