I could not see anything using Firefox, so I put the link into the Microsoft Edge browser and I was able to download.

It worked, now I have plenty of amps to play with.

I don't think you have done something wrong, I have exactly the same problem as you (all models added without pics and select them crash the soft) in ToneX (I have only used ToneX standalone at the moment I will check later inside DAW or Amplitube). I followed the bknwzd tutorial (thanks!) and my Library file is now 44,778kb and not however like bwzrd library 70,932kb. Clean ToneX 1.0.2 install (original library around 17,000kb) on a clean new OS partition never used before and without internet connection.

I think that there is something more to do or there is this crash problem. I don't know what it could be, maybe some more people start to report the same problem and so we can investigate what it could be. Also why delete the ones with Fractal,Helix and Kpa in their name from .csv github repo??

EDIT: if you check ToneX columns in Tone Models you can see that Name,Character,Stomp based on,etc data are all in the wrong column for the models added using the .csv DB Browser method and naturally they always crash the soft no matter if standalone or vst. Frederico library shared have all the data in the right columns and so it works.

EDIT 22/10: I have solved the problem, fixed and created again the complete Library (2465 models at 20/10)

I found some more S Gear 2 presets and have added them to my folder and updated the download link a few pages back.

Hmm, so this is potentially interesting, on my Library.db the "Version" column is at the end of sheet, but on
Ivan Bukovac db his version column is the second column. I might try fully uninstalling ToneX and seeing if it changes anything.

How do I add the "version" column? May be a stupid question but I don't know how to add the column and it won't import the tone models because of the wrong number of columns. Also, does the "version" column go 2nd or last?

Have you updated to the latest version, and then opened Tonex? I think you should do that before importing new models.

The latest CSV files shouldn't need the version column added as they are present in the files.

We still don't know why Frederico's library file is 44,776kb and bwzrd's library 70,932kb, any idea ?

I'm actually not sure. I wouldn't worry too much about it if the correct number of entries are there.

Thank you all for the efforts you provide, and allow us to have a good evaluation of Tonex with all these models that we can import now. But I have a question, I realize that all models have all the same settings at the level of the amp or pedal, and is it the same as presets ?

The answer is both yes and no. The TONEX amps and stomp box's are made by profiling. Which means recording an amp or stomp box or modeler in it's current state such as clean, distorted and over driven. They may even be recorded as a amp without the cab or with an IR.

Presents can be made the same way. But sometimes they are made using software and not profiling. But there are also presets which are made with their settings pre-set in a certain way so that they mimic a particular guitarist or type of music. Amplitude 5 has many of these.

I guess if someone knows what they are doing they will use the TONEX user profiles to copy their favorite guitar player's sound. These would then become presets as the name implies they are pre set to sound like Slash, Satriani or whoever they like.

Ok thanks for all the clarification

I'm having a hard time finding one too, maybe in a new update of amplitube, or I hope to be able to place effect pedals before or after the amp. Something I can't

so far, no there isn't a way - you would have to put another instance in - even with amplitube, you can only use one tonex model at a time...

yes, but inside Amplitube you can put a ToneX inside a chain of effects (a ToneX instead of an Amplitube amp)

So having made some captures before and after the update I have to say, after the new update the capture sounds IDENTICAL to my ears. It's actually crazy. Before there were some differences you could discern. I'll come back with some more models soon as I think it will be worth having a bunch of post update models.

Am I the only one that finds the stock IK sounds a little mid scooped and maybe even phasey? Maybe it's just my setup, but when I turn the cabs off and use something like GGD after ToneX it sounds so much better.

i think it probably needs a high shelf around 8khz... but yeah these do sound amazing. Haven't noticed the phase, however. Have an example?

Ah, no phase here, and no scoop on "factory" profiles (some "free" profiles are scooped).

Tried ToneX with a bass and sound really great !
