I don't understand Ableton . They have now just added more possible bugs to an already over bloated DAW which Live 11 has so many problems not fixed. Now a cloud option ..what could possibly go wrong??!! Maybe they should spend more time on the DAWs Basic operational functions?

Well Audio software on Android is a mess due to many different models with a huge variety of latency.
I expect not really an android version in the future.

I tried FL Studio Mobile on a quite okay sized Phone, but i am not really feeling the zeitgeist to use it for music production. But maybe due to the way the GUI is designed?

Note's GUI looks quite usable and i also saw/listened to some cool examples already created with Note.

I had not really any serious bugs in Live for a longer time. Most of the time (5 crashes in Live 11 since its release) were always induced by 3rd party plugins. I elimated or reinstalled them and the crashes were history.

I dont think Live has to many bugs and it is also good Ableton tries to expand in the mobile iOS realm.

I agree. Ableton is such a disapointment. Instead of implement/fix basic functions, they put on every update just gimmicky features that maybe look cool on videos but dont have any uses in most workflows, just to attract inexperienced potential customers. For me ableton would not be usable without some max4live devices that complete some of really basic functions (and like all m4l devices they are really buggy). Making music to day feels more like playing jenga.

Try KORG Gadget. I've added the Wavestation ("Milpitas"), the drum sample player ("bilbao") and the Dr Octo REX REX/RX2 loop player ("Stockholm") and it's what I would recommend for composition on the iPhone. My old but beloved REX loops on the phone, ready for composing is insane fun.

Reason made something similar years ago right?
Kinda off topic, but I never felt like using a smartphone DAW, I'd rather have some kind of score editor like Sibelius or Musescore - do you guys know if there is a worthwhile app like that?

"High-end": StaffPad (on sale at times, includes good default sounds as well, has very detailed staff editing)
Notion is a cheaper alternative, not bad but might be too limiting depending on your expectations.

It would be good if they released a cut down version that didn't allow export, I would imagine more people would buy it. I hate the concept of buying blind.
